What you mentioned is rarely spoken about; the government employees who are assigned to clean that kind of a mess up.
There is probably some exacting method to the clean up,because the coroner still has to examine the remains and give the official cause of death, as if that weren’t already somewhat obvious. My guess is there is high staff turnover in such positions, by OSHAs insistence.

Actually, there are privately owned businesses that specialize in that sort of thing. Crime scene cleanup, etc.

I remember seeing a movie a while back about two women (who knew nothing about what was involved when they decided to get into it) who obtained a contract with local authorities to clean up places where murders and natural deaths had occurred (after the bodies had been removed)

For example, a body lay in a house for a month before people called the police because of the smell, or a shooting in a motel, etc.

They just figured they could go in, put stuff in plastic bags and throw it in the dumpsters, which worked until they had a mattress that had a dead person laying on it until the body had become quite decomposed. They couldn't throw it into the dumpster, it was too big, and then they began finding out about all the rules, regulations, bunny suits, respirators, etc.

I had to just look it up...it was called "Sunshine Cleaning" (now, there's a euphemism...)

indeed. since the advent of AIDS, people’s exploded, splattered, and otherwise exposed guts/brains are considered hazardous waste, and can only be handled/cleaned up by trained professionals.
