No matter which side were to use gas. The fact is that releasing clouds of gas into the open air is problematic. Gad on D-Day? Wet conditions which would have impeded a cloud spread and again with the wind the stuff could go in any direction.

Ah but it is. Hitler literally denounced the first use of chemical weapons on the battlefield. He kept the European theater in WWII chemical weapon free, period. It was a choice borne of his prior experience in WWI. Nothing in that decision has anything to do with gas chambers; that is in itself a different type of crime. It had nothing to do with soldiers or fighting and while immorale is not combat. Read some history, understand the issues and don’t lump everything together... He was not my first choice, he is the Peoples choice, unlike DUMBO who I loathed even as a candidate I just thought he lack enough experience and am happy to find I was wrong and do not regret voting for him. Spicer made an unfortunate statement. LSM blew it out proportion. I’m old enough I’ve read history books, saw the news reels. And heard the stories first hand of not just the Death Camps, the Japanese were as bad, My dad fought under Gen. Mac for 6 yrs so I learned of those atrocities from him.
I agree that the gas chambers don’t equate to “chemical weapons” on the battlefield. However, the larger viewpoint Spicer seems to want to make is that that Assad’s possible/probable use of chemical weapons makes him worse than Hitler. I doubt that.

I don’t see why I owe you an apology. It is you and others who have attacked Spicer who owe him (and President Trump) an apology for misinterpreting (intentionally or not) what Spicer was saying. He was referring to the use of chemical WEAPONS by German forces in WWII combat operations. The use of chemical agents in the Holocaust operation was a crime entirely unrelated to the point of his remarks. And for that reason I am highly SUSPECT of the motives of everyone who has attacked him for saying what he did. Even the Jewish professor Alan Dershowitz at Harvard has stated that the accusations against Spicer are unwarranted.

Other than the above, I agree with everything you’ve posted here. As to the above, I disagree that Spicer made a dumb comment, and in fact, he was precise and correct. He in no way has to mollify the anti-American leftists by his remarks, and as Alan Dershowitz has said, those who have attacked Spicer over this are guilty of absurd hypocrisy.
