Umm, you are off one state. No DFL in WI. They are strictly a MN phenom. Maybe some in the eastern Dakotas, but not enough there to matter.

Yeah, Ryan. He is not elected by the state. He is elected in a single Congressional District with a load of out-of-state money and corporate MSM backing, which is also national/international. Maybe that money came from your state. Who knows?

Madison, Milwaukee and the larger university-system towns are dem. The rest of the state is not. It’s like the country as a whole, with blue islands in a sea of red and pink.

WI went red in 2016. We have Scott Walker as Governor. Both Houses of the Legislature are held by Republicans. We also have more ethnic Norwegians and Germans, most places, except Milwaukee, which has a lot of ethnic Poles, Croatians, etc. By *ethnic*, I mean 3 or more generations removed from the country of origin, so, let’s just call them all Americans. Most of these European-derived folks have intermarried over those intervening generations, so, again: Americans.

This perp has a Polish last name, which means only that he had some ancestor who once immigrated from Poland. I know nothing about this guy, except he was captured in my county. Dirt bags exist everywhere.
