No, in Syria Assad is the secular leader who is opposing the jihadis of ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, et al., who are fighting for a radical Islamist state. Assad is protecting Christians from the slaughter and selling of little girls into to sex slavery. It's a no brainer. Unless you want to see Christians and non-Muslims slaughtered.
