What if everything the experts know about elections is wrong? What if the winning of the two special elections are more proof these overpaid professionals have no idea what is going on? What if the people are smarter than they think and can see right through the obvious pandering or TV commercials no longer work? If these are all true, which they are; then it is time to look at elections and governing in an exciting new way.
By all measures the Dem should have won the Georgia 6 election since according to the Mediacrats Trump was having a terrible first hundred days. He did not even get Healthcare solved or the budget passed as well as being Putin’s poodle, America was furious and realized they made a mistake. There was real anger out in the streets as women donned their pink pussy hats and this election was going to be proof the voters had come back to their Socialist senses.
This Dem had every advantage. He had a fractured field to go against with no real opposition. He had a ten to one spending advantage not counting all of those invaluable Hollywierd endorsements as well as a 24/7 blitzkrieg from the media and the entire Democrat machine pounding that one tiny district. How in the world according to the book could he not get over fifty percent in an off year election? It was simple, voter turnout.
What if the voter is smarter than either Party gives them credit? What if pandering does not work and people would rather the gummit keep their rotten bacon? If that is true and is why President Trump won and this Commucrat lost, then all of the advice these Repubs are getting from the Republisaurs is wrong. It is time for open heart surgery.
There are three major issues which are going to be extremely painful to solve, Obamacare, the budget and immigration. All three of them if addressed seriously will end their political careers according to the experts. These will require serious bills which have no easy pandering answers which will be like training a biker into a ballerina.
To really address Healthcare they are going to have to make it voluntary, return it to the insurance industry with all of the underwriting and have a high risk pool which will be unaffordable and no subsidies. Many will lose their insurance and will be a burden to the hospital system, however in five years the insurance industry will correct itself and rates will lower as competition begins fighting for those high risk premiums and the broken system will begin to heal itself. We are really paying for frivolous lawsuits which also need to be addressed.
The budget has to be taken seriously and the President has to consider the biggest issue which is welfare and Socialist Security entitlements. There needs to be serious tax cuts to stimulate the job market and those additional taxes will help, but to lower our deficits we need to cut welfare, Medicare and Social Security. The obvious solution is to raise the retirement age and to lower benefits and push people to not take it even though they paid into it as a patriotic duty. Why should younger people be paying into this antiquated Ponzi scheme? Isn’t there a Nigerian prince they could be helping out for millions in return?
We need to cut the Federal Gummit by at least 25% as most of these jobs are works projects which can be streamlined and computerized. They need to begin looking at selling their Federal Lands for income generation as well as proper management of the resources. There is no reason the Fed should own fifty percent of the land in the West and all of the expenses which goes along with it. Turn it over to the states where it can be properly managed and sold to private citizens to own and use.
Finally, build a wall and deport people who do not belong here. Most of the Mexicans in the West are only here to vote and keep the Dems in power. There is no verification of citizenship and the Marxists know they vote or can be faked to vote at 75% Dem so they have a huge motivation to support their Sanctuary voters. So what if the rape and murder rates go through the roof while education tumbles through the floor as long as they come out to vote when called upon.
If you are not an American then the taxpayers have no reason to pay for your education, healthcare or welfare and you need to go back home. Once this country begins to get its own fiscal house in order than it can consider how many people it can bring in, but until then this is a budget item which needs to be cut and is time America focus on its own problems.
Building the wall is the other side of that coin since once a Dem takes over the White House they will open the border again and we will see the trains running into our country flooding the border. You cannot tear down a wall with the stroke of a pen and that border will still be hard to cross no matter who is in charge.
These three issues can only be addressed by a one term President and Congress. If they are looking at re-election and listening to their political managers they will never do any of these career ending items. They will just trim around the edges and do the Texas Two Step, so the voters will never notice. The mediots will be screaming like crows on a dead skunk how Trump is throwing Grandma off the cliff and gloating over the coming midterm victories for their Party, but what if they are wrong…again?
What if the voter is not as stupid as the two Parties think? What if the internet is more powerful than ABDNCBS and have tuned them out? What would happen when the first time a quarterly report would say the debt actually came down thanks to taking serious steps to solve some serious problems? These issues are not going to get better by trimming around the margins and kicking them down the road for our kids to pay for. There is serious pain to go through and nobody will be happy solving them, but at some point America is going to have to go in for open heart surgery.
These elections have proved the experts wrong and people like Steve Bannon and Kellyanne right. If President Trump and Congress were to take on a one term approach they will be shocked at election time. Not only will they not lose, they will win in a landslide. Their hardcore Right Wingers would be so energized from having their politicians putting their lives on the line they would hit those voter doors with abandon. The internet would be buzzing and the country would actually feel like it had a future.
Once there was an actual improvement on the debt then the pain would feel less intense and the generation which has run up the debt could actually be part of the solution.
These three elections should tell the politicians this is an exciting new day. According to PravdABDNCBS this was the worst first 100 days in the histoir of the eart. We have a President who is a puppet of the Russians and America now knows it made a mistake, and they still lost. This says the first hundred and the shutdown mean nothing. Americans are willing to give him the chance the media never gave. They will give him four years and if he is not afraid to lose re-election and makes some or all of these changes will want to finish the job for their children. Americans love doing things bigger than themselves and need to rebuild their Shining City on the Hill.

My grievance today is with Rush Limbaugh.
Yes I love the guy and listen to him religiously.
But Rush knows not much about payroll and I will explain why. Bear in mind, Rush does not receive a paycheck and hasn’t for many years.
And if somebody wants to send Rush a link to this item, please do.
Because, I, ladies and gems, know payroll.
Now I am not especially proud of that although it is a legal and respectful occupation.
I know what everybody in America makes, indeed, even on the planet.
I have installed many payroll systems, paid people all my life, paid taxes withheld…etc., etc ., etc.
Rush says that your employer DOES not match your FICA deduct.
Well he comes up with some nutball formula but allow me to explain how it works.
FICA tax is 6.2% of your income. This money is DEDUCTED from everybody’s paycheck.
Comes time to send that money in to the IRS, including federal tax withheld, an additional 6.2% is added to the balance due, to be paid by the employer.
For the record, medicare tax is 1.45% and is also part of the money sent to the IRS with an additional 1.45% from the employer.
Rush says that bull hocky, that your employer does NOT match that 6.2% although he most certainly does.
Rush’s argument is that when the employer hires you he might pay you, say, $60,000. But the employer will only pay you maybe $55,000 because he or she knows about that match for FICA or SS. Meaning that the FICA and Medicare match were originally part of YOUR annual salary. Had that beleaguered employer not been obligated to match your SS and Medicare YOU would have those actual funds in your paycheck.
Yeah, it’s an argument, but it’s a stupid one.
There is no guarantee anywhere in the world that the employer even considers this when paying a salary to an individual. And if he or she does, come on, they should also be factoring in Workman’s Comp money, which is based on pay, money for unemployment compensation also based on pay.
My point being that to say the employer does NOT match your FICA/Medicare for the silly reason that he calculates it in with what you WOULD have gotten….Rush I love you but it’s dumb reasoning and a bit misleading.
Anyway, lots of things are payroll amount based and it’s not all calculated into how much to pay an employee.
Employees are paid based on market forces.
Rush surely ought to know that.
So the guy running to fill the spot vacated by Tom Price who was appointed Health and Human Services Secretary….did NOT get 50% of the vote.
And he DOES, indeed, look just like the pajama boy.
This seat was once held by Newt Gingrich. I did not know this.
Also, there is a new book out about the Hillary campaign and I just might read it.
It’s called “Shattered” and it will be a hoot, I predict.

Yesterday the guy was found hanging by a sheet in his cell. He was very dead.
Hernandez evidently murdered someone and got life without parole. He also must have been involved in the murder of two other people but he was acquitted for that trial. Still, they don’t try you for crimes that no way you committed.
Most times.
This morning I hear that the situation surrounding Hernandez is suspicious. Like relatives of everyone else in the world who ever killed himself, his family does not believe it’s possible Hernandez hung himself, that he had too much to live for.
Heh. Too much of what? Another day in jail with no possibility of parole?
And yesterday the New England Patriots, formerly his team, went to the White House to receive honors.
That right there is reason enough for Hernandez to hang his murdering self.
We’ll see where this silly thing goes. And that’s TWO n’er-do-wells who did the world a favor by ending their life. The other was that stupid Facebook killer.
Bill O’Reilly would sell his mother and dog for some attention and in those last struggling years he had on Watters and other guests to help shore up his show, which was awful.
And all those books telling us the truth were boring and often full of fiction.
We hear Tucker Carlson is lined up for a prime time slot and yeah, I really like Tucker.

Salary + Insurance + FICA + any State added costs (Workers Comp) + Etc.
Thanks for thread A.B. Hoping Wikileaks prosecution goes no where. The American people have not knowingly and voluntarily forfeited individual liberty and privacy. We can’t simply allow Pompeo and the Dark State to overwhelm our lives. Someone has to stand up to them, and Wikileaks is about the only voice. As someone who now has his own business, I can assure you—since I pay BOTH the employee and employer parts of FICA—it is HUGE.
If the employer didn’t have to pay every employee would. And their taxes would go up and immediately consume whatever extra earnings Rush thought they’d get.
I would add the rebuilding of the military is key as well to the safety and security of the nation. And, without term limits if the House and Senate both keep putting their penchants for getting reelected above doing what is right for the country it's likely we get watered down versions of all the important legislation. If we wind up fixing zero-care rather than repeal and replace the country is in for bad times.
Your contention that 1/4 the govt. has to go is less than I would have advocated. I think half the govt. is useless and the pay scale for the remainder should be half of what they are currently making.
Govt. careers need to be revised to Government Service. Lengths of service should be limited to only a few years and our best and brightest should not be in govt. but rather in private enterprise only entering the govt. as Trump does for a limited time period.
The founders never envisioned a political class and it need not exist.

As an employer When I do payroll checks I take the gross amount and multiply times 7.65% for the social security and medicare taxes and then do another 10% approximate for withholding. I don't use the book,which would be far less, since all my employees have at least two and three jobs in order to live in paradise.
Every month I prepare a page for my CPA that includes all the withholding I took out and double the 7.65% which is what we as employers pay and have that taken electronically out of my increasingly poor bank account every few days which is all i can afford in preparation for the quarterly returns.
I fix it so when the end of the quarter happens I am completely paid up. Once again the govt. gets paid whether I don or not.
Than there is excise tax which is .09090909 percentage of every rod or component I sell,unless its over $100 first time sale. Then it's a flat ten bucks. Sales tax and oh yeah, end of year personal income taxes.
Last year I owed $16,500 this year only $9,500,what a bargain!! I don't know how the hell all that works,(something about growing an inventory instead of taking pay,) since I don't take out hardly anything at all. But I know I'll be paying $750 per week forever once again this year.
Are we an overtaxed nation,no question.

Not sure why you are paying BOTH parts of FICA unless you refer to your own FICA payments.
Which goes up to 15% or thereabouts as I recall.
It’s not that Rush is totally wrong with his assertion that, most likely, if the employer didn’t have to match the medicare and social security the employees would probably have higher pay.
It’s just very vague and using Rush’s logic, if unemployment insurance weren’t on the employer, or workman’s comp insurance....then, of course, the employee will make more take home pay.
There is no such assurance and it’s just a bit misleading.

....lookit, again, Rush Limbaugh has not gotten a paycheck in many years. It’s misleading and inaccurate how he states it.
