The EMP Threat From North Korea Is Real, and Terrifying
pjmedia.com ^ | 4/25/2017 | John R. Moore

While the total wipeout depicted in One Second After is probably exaggerated, the effects could knock out our power grid for months, and destroy critical communications and computer systems. As former CIA chief James Woolsey recently said:

If you look at the electric grid and what it's susceptible to, we would be moving into a world with no food delivery, no water purification, no banking, no telecommunications, no medicine. All of these things depend on electricity in one way or another.

In such a situation, there simply is no way to rule out the possibility that hundreds of millions could die.

We have newer systems since this was tested over 30 years ago. (reportedly scrubbed afterwards - hmmm)

Emp=every moron’s paranoia.

(Just made that up. Clever, huh?)

Pool shock. Powder form. Last long time. Cheap, too.

Why do you think it is paranoia?

The physics is proven. The intent and technical capability of adversaries is proven. Paranoia isn’t a good description

If your bugging out use a clean visine bottle. Easy to count the drops and very lite weight.

“The physics is proven. The intent and technical capability of adversaries is proven. Paranoia isn’t a good description”

Really? Proven? You can prove that a microchip is going to suffer from EMP, that anything and everything electronic and electrical will be destroyed in an EMP?

Change your screen name, you’re an embarrassment to the name.

Operations Fishbowl and Castle Bravo. The Russians actually did their research on this before we did.

OK pal. We were talking about the term “paranoia”. Is it proven physics parania?

I never claimed “anything and everything” will be destroyed in an EMP. But you are arguing “nothing will be destroyed” in an EMP. Your position has already been proven wrong, many times.

“Change your screen name, you’re an embarrassment to the name”

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about on EMP. No idea.

I can, but it would be better to have a back up rechargeable battery to run a cpap and oxygen concentrator. We do have a generator that runs on gasoline, but of course there are drawbacks there.

I am not knowledgeable about batteries, solar chargers etc. So I am doing some research. I see a gizmo that one can sit down and pedal with bicycle type pedals and recharge stuff. Also I have found a solar panel/rechargeable battery combo that is advertised for a cpap.

Still my main concern is a way to run the well pump. Our system is not set up to be able to just flip a switch and go to a generator or battery. Hubby has no interest in doing anything about that, because he says, he can do that in a few minutes if it’s ever needed, so why bother.

Of course it would also be great to have a big propane tank and automatic backup generator that could be switched to solar or wind power and would run the whole house. LOL

Anyway. I got along many times in my youth without electricity, so I think I could do it again. I have rechargeable low discharge batteries of several sizes, and a solar charger as well as a charger that could be used with the bicycle thing, or plugged into generator etc.

I have a couple of fans that run on batteries, but the generator will run a window air conditioner, TV, Oxygen concentrator, refrigerator, lights, and freezer. We ran all that for a couple of weeks when my Dad was living with us and the power went out.

“Is it proven physics parania?”

It isn’t proven, son. Only long line reception, that’s it. All this nerdy garbage about storing crap in a “faraday cage” is just booger eating moron basement dwelling nonsense.

Nuclear warfare with ground and space based sensor systems along with doctoral experiments in ionospherics says I think I know a few things about EMP.

Well, that’s why I don’t live in a city. I’m an Ozark Hillbilly. I have survived quite often without electricity. Still I am always working on upgrading the various ways to survive.

We are ahead by having a well, our own septic system, a couple of fireplaces and plenty of wood. Two portable generators, a bunch of rechargeable batteries, and solar recharging devices.

We grow increasing amounts of our own food, and either can it or dehydrate it. Have several fruit and nut trees to add to the regular garden. Every year, we add something else.

High on the list this year is to get a sunroom style green house to grow more fresh veggies year round, and increase the solar and battery packs.

We do have an above ground pool of around 4000 gallons to use for the garden, that could also be used to make potable drinking water. We have the filters, iodine tabs, and the powder to make our own bleach as part of our pantry stockpile.

I spent most of my childhood on a farm with no running water, and an outhouse and home with wood stove heat. I suspect that I could manage better than some just fine.

Like JRandomFreeper used to say, it’s about skills, and I am constantly reading books about the “old” ways of doing things. It’s interesting, and the knowledge may be very valuable some day. Above all, though is to pray and get right with God.

Praying for a positive outcome and returning our country to the constitutional Republic for the people. God Bless the USA.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Period.

You haven’t even read available open source documents available with a Google search.

Read. Learn. Ask questions. I will teach you if you want to learn about EMP. I will teach anyone who wants to learn about it.

Until you pull your ignorant head out of your posterior and quit posing as someone who knows you will remain uninformed.

That’s fine with me. However, there may be folks that are unaware of your high-test ignorance and arrogance. They may listen to you.

So for them I’m exposing you as a simple idiot on this subject.

The research is out there. I can point anyone to it who wishes to dive into it.

It’s not hard to find.

Start your education here.

This is a repository of papers written by giants in the field.

If you read some of these by Conrad Longmire and others you will be ashamed of yourself.

Do you really think the globalists that want to rule the world will allow this to happen to America? Can they rule the nation after we have lost our power? How much money will they lose if the power goes out? (Live Free or Die Hard?) What would the world lose if America was gone? Would NK hit SK at the same time? Would NK aim for Alaska or Hawaii? Who would benefit most to take America down in a second or two?

Just wondering.

Interestingly enough, it wouldn't hurt them much anyway.

This one would probably be most useful to someone like you.

Even if you only read the first two paragraphs of the introduction, you would humbly apologize to those you have mislead on this thread.

I dare you to read some of the sourced documents I posted to you.

I challenge you to post anything as rigorous that supports your (wrong) opinion, Mr. Ionospherics.
