Ivanka Trump said resettling Syrian refugees in the United States should be “part of the discussion.”
“I think there is a global humanitarian crisis that’s happening,” Ivanka — who serves as a special assistant to her father — said during an interview with the “Today” show. “And we have to come together and we have to solve it.”
When asked if that means letting Syrian refugees into the United States, Ivanka said, “That has to be part of the discussion, but that’s not going to be enough in and of itself.”
Donald Trump signed an executive order in March that would require the Department of Homeland Security to review its screening procedures while suspending the refugee admissions program for 120 days. The order temporarily bars the citizens of Sudan, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen from entering the United States for 90 days, but it did not include the blanket ban on Syrian refugees like his first version of the order did.

Yes, but her father-the President-is allowing her to publicly appear as part of his “kitchen cabinet”, and he could put a stop to this just by having her do what she said she’d do anyway, stay in New York and handle the business.
There wouldn’t be any money in that. There’s money in creating new agencies to redistribute tax dollars, while skimming from them (and putting the rapefugees amongst us peons, while those who put them there reap the rewards).

It reminds me so much of when Michelle kept speaking up..and oh how she resented when they put a muzzle on her. It was not so much what she said as she took it upon herself to relay that which she should not...it was not her place to do so...especially in Germany or any other nation.
Sorry to say, you’re correct, and I’m a woman. Women in politics (and feminist “men”) always leads to feminisation (emotionalism) being a factor, rather than facts and logic. The very few women who have escaped this trait in politics, find themselves standing alone. They have to be very strong characters in the first place to be Thatchers, Schlaflys, etc.

And yet it is being performed....just recently in the US...apparently without American parents' knowledge or consent. A Somali doctor performed the mutilation on American children brought into the hospital's emergency room for other emergency care.

When she said she moved to Washington in order to “Influence” (as a feminist activist) where she could, while speaking in an interview....that was a caution light for me of what were her intentions?...to use her father’s position to advance her own personal causes?...It is certainly revealing such from her speaking at the G-20...so I do have concerns.

In part I think because she is a feminist....and they do tend to believe they have all the answers, or can get them, for women.But she is an Elite and has not been outside the buble she was born into....so like many of them.. they’re going to “rescue” the women who have not been able to have what’s been given them and see it as their mission to “empower” women by gaining the tools for them to do so. Which by the way they never needed in the first place.
It’s that liberal/progressive mindset that sees them and us and what they see is a need to show and tell us how thing need to be done. Ivanka clearly has that mindset.

You made a lot of noise about her statement without addressing the fact she did not in any way disagree with her father’s policy on refugees.

Well of course there is that also. Smile for the cameras has just been part of her entire life. So she has been groomed to be there, poised, confident, and all the “plastic” motions we have seen from others when they are in front of the cameras.
If you ever note..she does not skip a beat...she is well rehearsed and very little throws her off her game, and indeed she has one.
It was interesting when she commented about her “fathers” hiring and empowering women to be their best, and she was called on this for the comments he made regarding women, which he indeed said and apologized for. But rather that acknowledge this as an unfortunate mishap...she detracted by saying she had heard this, as if she didn’t know, and the media had perpetuated it.
Every word she speaks is TOO carefully scripted but I don’t think we’ll see anything else but that. She is “measured” always...poised and in control of her every step and movement. It could be no other way really.
Ugh. Shoulda voted for Hillary, Ivanka. Losing faith in your klan.....
