An Army veteran was thrown behind bars Tuesday for allegedly tying her PTSD therapy dog to a tree and shooting him five times at close range — killing the poor pup for no apparent reason while a soldier filmed it.

...

Court documents obtained by the Fayetteville Observer describe how she teamed up with her boyfriend, Jarren Heng, 25, for the seemingly random killing earlier this month.

The couple allegedly led the white and gray pit bull to a wooded area before tying him to a tree and taking his life. ... ultimately was shot five times with a rifle as Rollins and Heng, who is still enlisted and stationed at Fort Bragg, took turns filming him.

“Let me hit him once,” Heng can be heard saying in the video.

Throughout the disturbing clip, he and Rollins both laugh and joke about the dog’s brutal death ...

Point one: I hold canine life in great esteem.
Point two; I hold human life in low esteem.
Point three; My boys and girls are willing to give their lives to protect me, not many humans would do that.
Point four; Livestock is for a purpose, (food), DOGS are for PARTNERSHIP.
Point five; Nothing worse than watching a 67 year old Marine cry like a 13 year old school girl when one of his boys or girls has to go to the Rainbow Bridge without him.
Point six; This is not aimed at you SALAMANDER, I know you love your boys and girls.
Point seven; You hurt one of my boy’s or girl’s unless it is for self defense, I will kill you. What are they going to do, put me in prison, at my age I just don’t give a damn.
Point eight; If there ain’t no DOGS in Heaven, I ain’t going.
I want to go where they go.
SEMPER FI.

A good clue regarding her would be the large AR tattoo across her chest. Appears she was playing the superwoman Rambo fantasy role wearing military camo’s etc. Not too many woman would do that, then start drinking, take a dog, tie it to a tree and shoot it to death while broadcasting the entire event.

A calculating angry individual and cold as ice, would describe her well.

The motive appears to have been to punish or hurt the ex-husband which while evil, isn’t a senseless act.

She may very well be mentally ill, but it seems more bipolar than schizophrenic. And plenty of non mentally ill people commit cruel and depraved acts under the influence of drugs and alcohol while their judgement, reason and self control are on vacation and letting their inner bitch out to play.

Posting the video on social media is a bi-polarish thing to do also. When they are in their manic phase they tend to think the normal social rules only apply to others and not themselves.

I can very well guess that her defense lawyer will certainly try to play the mental health crisis card unless he is an underpaid public defender who gets paid the same regardless of whether they actually do their job or not.

Yeah I was noticing all of those signs as well.

I’m real curious about the “traumatic event” that got her sent back from Korea, that preceded the personality change and her husband divorcing her. Wonder if that would reveal anything useful.

Maybe the traumatic event was a manic meltdown.

This article http://popularmilitary.com/exclusive-owner-dog-slain-veteran-soldier-speaks-really-happened/ says she was diagnosed with PTSD,narcissistic personality disorder, bipolar disorder and other ailments following her return from Korea.

And she was kicked out of college for a “domestic dispute” before joining the military. Her soon to be ex has known her since grade school and described her as “goth-emo” in high school.

So I’m gonna go out on a sturdy limb here and guess that she doesn’t play well with others, has trouble adapting to new social milieus and is generally a high strung, high maintenance female given to heavy drinking and tantrums.

What’s really scary is the idea of this messed up woman having children, they would not be safe in her care.

Semper Fi, indeed.

I have but one point...some of the attitudes here would be more in tune with Muslim “philosophy “.

Horrific. Animal abuse should be treated more seriously. Wonder what they’ve done to their fellow man that we *don’t* know about?

A sad end to an awful story. Mental illness, evil, drug use ... I am not sure where to put the blame. Probably all together.
