There is a way to find out pretty easily

All it would take is a simple advertising campaign by some smart lawyers promising to SUE for Workers Comp Benefits for any Paid Protestor hurt, injured, or emotionally distressed in any way as a result of their work as a PAID Protestor.

And then I hope they notify the IRS to be sure they report this income.

I like your idea. it seems to me who ever is doing the paying has opened themselves up to a lot of civil liability for the damages there employees do and for the damages there subcontractors do if the courts decide they are not employees but subcontractors. property damage, costs of policing events where that person paid for protesters to be. if we fallow the chain of financial pay outs you could see some real wealthy liberals going into bankruptcy over the payouts to the lawyers and the victims of there paid protesters.
