Kevin Johnson, who succeeded Howard Schultz as CEO this month, on Thursday presided over an earnings call where the company cut its full-year profit target on the heels of disappointing second-quarter sales and stalling growth from its main business in the United States.
Shares in the company fell 4.9 percent to $58.30 after Starbucks also announced that it was reviewing its Teavana business after that chain's mall stores dragged down overall sales.

Awesome, starsucks endorsed hellary and said they were going to hire 10k or so refugees. A lot of their customers who have $7 to waste on a $1 drink probably actually work and do not identify with the liberal socialist hate America bunch.

Our local news has something “wonderful” about Starbucks almost daily during their broadcast. Amounts to lots of free advertising IMO and should not be allowed.

Now that the grocery stores mostly quit selling whole beans to make room for those pod things on their shelves I’ve had to buy there a couple times.
They could have made some money from the trend but they charge about what it would cost for shipped coffee.
Shame the nearest local roaster is a 100 miles away.
I was in in a Starbucks awhile back and saw this water for about $3 bucks a bottle. The sign said the money from the water went to fund wells in third world countries and other such endeavors.
I went home and researched it and a whole NICKEL goes to charity!

All those refugees from Syria and elsewhere don't seem to by buying the coffee that I absolutely stopped buying, forever, from Starbucks.
Buy a home brew latte maker and pay for it within 30 Starbucks visits. No line, and it gives me a latte with no attitude.

We go to the Starbucks in Sanibel about twice a year while we’re on vacation. Order their mocha Frappacino ‘cause it’s cold on a hot Southwest Florida day. Never drink their coffee.
Actually the Starbucks is on Captiva. FWIW.
I noticed one of our local bucks took the “This restroom is gender neutral” signs off the baf’room doors.
And change their name to Shariabucks!
I spent a number of years driving from coast to coast, believe me I know a few things about BAD coffee. I only brought Starbucks one time. The little fella that served it acted like I was the Devil himself when he asked me a number of things about some strange potent, and I said “just coffee”. I wish i would have knowm more, I could not drink the coffee, maybe the thing he was pushing would have tasted better.
