I worked at a company that hired off the welfare rolls to get a tax break. One day I was in a bathroom closet stall listening to two men at the urinals. These guys were bragging about their children. The dialog sounded like, “Well my kid by dis bitch, he be runnin’ his own take, nowhatImean?” “Yeah, my kid by one a’ my bitches be doin’ the same thing now. Make a daddy proud.”
Counting the number of bitches and ho’s led me to believe they had three or four each by as many different women.
I was supposed to take pictures of the line for a brochure. Every time I raised the camera the people I pointed it at literally ran away from their stations. The black floor supervisor wandered over. Sighing, he said, “what are you doing?” “Photos for the brochure.” He said, “these guys have outstanding warrants and people looking for child support. They don’t want their picture taken.” I actually had to have people from the professional staff come out and act as models at the various stations.
So, pregnancy won’t bother them. But what I suspect is, the article is more sinister than it appears on its face. These guys have either an STD or AIDS. They are purposely infecting their sex partners.
I was at a parole hearing where it came out that one of these erections with a criminal attached, has forty two children. Forty two. And most of his life had been spent in prison. He donated the sperm during intervals he was out.
Parole was denied, I am happy to say.
In the healthcare system, I was talking to a patient who had just found out he would be a father again, I think it was #5.
He was a single, homeless alcoholic/addict. I said, “Oh, that can be stressful,” meaning it was a big responsibility - he was totally nonchalant about it and I realized it was because he knew he would be contributing exactly zero dollars to the cost of the child, so it was no skin off his back.
