Thank you, that’s exactly what I was thinking – that after working so hard for so long, and being willing to continue it, he deserves something special. I think it has a lot to do with feminism, women just see men as tools, something to be used but not really appreciated.

No not cataracts, I wish! Strabismus. My eyes don’t point in the same place so I have double vision. But it doesn’t seem like double vision it’s just really fuzzy because I am also extremely nearsighted. And that is what is causing the strabismus to get worse all the time. And as the distance between the focus gets bigger, glasses can’t compensate. Luckily there is the surgery for it. I want to idiot optometrist for many decades so apparently never heard of it. I couldn’t see very well for about 10 years. I couldn’t read nor could I see street signs, but the multitude of optometrists told me I was just picky. Luckily they kicked me out of their office, a couple of them, so I ended up at an ophthalmologist. Who immediately knew the solution. I’m only going to MDs from now on, even for glasses. Anyway just for business gets worse every year so eventually I’ll need another surgery. Hopefully I won’t have to put up with not seeing well for very long. At least I know there is a solution this time around :-)

I was just thinking yesterday as I was driving to town, that I know God timed all this. I had the surgery one month before I was due to come out here. He wanted me to see all this beauty and appreciate it fully. Which I do every single day. I can’t believe how lucky I am. Blessed actually.

When I get the business up and going, I’ll send you some sample packets. They are actually stored for long-term storage :-) ( speaking of prepping ) so you can use them anytime before 20 years is up. LOL

I’m sorry you will have to have surgery again, CB, but hopefully it will be as effective as the first one.

That reminds me of my [indirect] Ronald Reagan connection: Many years ago when we still lived in Rochester, I had an undiagnosed eye muscle imbalance. My regular ophthalmologist referred me to an eye dr at Mayo Clinic and I saw him several times with no success. One day I arrived at my appt to find that my dr had been suddenly called out of town (turned out he was Ronald Reagan’s eye surgeon but I didn’t know that then) and somebody evidently forgot to reschedule my appt. A pediatric eye surgeon who happened to be walking down the hallway was pulled in to see me. He immediately diagnosed my esophoria and ultimately operated successfully to correct the condition.

I’m glad President Reagan liked his eye surgeon but I was much more impressed with the pediatric surgeon. Several years later we realized God’s provision when our toddler son needed surgery for his eye muscle imbalance, and we already knew a spectacular pediatric eye surgeon!
