I prefer mine Santa Maria style....over Coastal red oak.
Garlic salt and pepper is seasoning enough.

I rub Mrs. Dash on mine, and top it off lightly with kosher salt. Mrs. Dash is supposed to be low salt, but I like the herbs in the mixture.
