In my youth, I used to walk beans. We were given machetes made out of old lawnmower blades and told to chop them close to the ground and spade out the small ones with the flat ends of the blades. With all that illegal alien labor there, it should be no problem to clear that field.

Later on, they started using the “ bean limousine” method, where the youth would sit on the sprayer arms of a huge bean sprayer, and then with hand nozzles, spray each weed as they rolled by, a method that really reduced the amount of expensive herbicide needed and the total wages of the high school kids they hired.

Who says Americans won’t do some jobs?

That is a dilemma, more hard earned dollars or fewer easy dollars. which would I chose?
