The Constitution’s system of checks and balances is the three branches of government. The Legislative, composed of the House and Senate, is set up in Article 1. The Executive, composed of the President, Vice-President, and the Departments, is set up in Article 2. The Judicial, composed of the federal courts and the Supreme Court, is set up in Article 3.

Good night! How does a former lieutenant general in the United States Air Force and the former director of national intelligence fail Government 101 with this ignorance? It is just that thinking that undercuts ALL credibility.

You would possibly be horrified at how little of our military's professional training and education institutions teach the Constitution. It is mentioned in passing in most regards. Pretty ironic considering that enlistment and commissioning oaths are to support and defend it against all enemies. foreign and domestic.
