NEW YORK—Schools have become the crucible for intimidation and recruitment into the Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, gang on Long Island and around the country.
One Long Island mother, who wanted to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal from MS-13, said she and several other parents have taken their teenagers out of the local high school because they’ve become targets of the gang. Some children are being homeschooled and, in a few extreme cases, sent to stay with relatives out of the state.
“I am scared to death,” the mother said. “It’s a crapshoot. I feel like we’re rolling the dice here, and it shouldn’t be like this.”

Obama piled as many immigrants, blacks, and others of the Entitled Classes into my until-recently safe, polite, and pleasant city. One of the Entitled, who did speak English, held up the less-the-sixteen-items checkout line in my supermarket with TWO BASKETS of groceries and just as much attitude, paid with a variety of vouchers. Glared at the checker and the rest of the shoppers, chin jutted out, as if daring us to say something to her so she could shout "RACIST."
Just one truly tiny example of where this country is headed. I don't think we have MS-13. Yet. But there was a gang turf shootout in my parking lot a few years ago.
That’s the bottom line - they voted for it.
While they’re to be commended for getting the kids out of the school, they have still failed their children. Gangs can get them whether they’re in school or inside their houses doing homework. As long as the parents continue to live and vote in the neighborhood, they are in danger.
These are good parents to protect their children!

Yet, mama sends her child into a dangerous school every day. Every day, her child continues to live in a dangerous neighborhood. There is a prevention and a solution - MOVE.
