Trump’s Media Strategy is Failing-Here’s How to Fix It
medium.com ^ | 5/19/17 | Mike Cernovich

Posted on 05/20/2017 6:57:05 PM PDT by dontreadthis

Trump supporters do not read the NY times. Write this onto the blackboard 100 times, The Simpsons opening style, and you’ll understand what you’re about to learn. If your supporters aren’t reading stories about you, why is your media team spending all of its time responding to those stories?

Trump and Clinton / Anthony Weiner supporters live in parallel media universes. If you do not understand this, you will lose the media game.

I do not read WaPo or the NY Times or any other liberal propaganda outlet. I don’t visit their home pages and do not subscribe. Unless a story gets really big on Twitter, I don’t see it.

Young Trump supporters get their news from (in this order) Twitter, YouTube, Drudge, and FoxNews (although that’s changing, as FoxNews is not sufficiently America first).

Older Trump supporters get their news from talk radio, FoxNews, Drudge, Twitter, and YouTube. When WaPo or NY Times drops a “devastating” story on Trump, do you know who reads these stories — liberals!

Thus one can see the problem with Trump’s media team. They are spending all of their time, energy, and focus responding to news that most Trump supporters won’t even see, and if we see it, won’t believe it.

Trump was right (for the wrong reasons) when he jokingly claimed he could shoot someone on Fifth Ave. Most of his supporters would never see the story, and absent a clear video, wouldn’t believe the story if they saw it.

Want to know how out “out of touch” Trump supporters are with what liberal media is saying? I don’t even notice most of the media hit pieces on me, and even with a massive online following, people rarely ask me about anything nasty the media is saying about me. My readers, like me, aren’t reading liberal propaganda outlets.

Trump’s media team is playing defense, running around responding to stories that most of Trump’s base will never read, and if they read, would never believe. What should Trump’s media strategy be?

End daily White House press briefings. They accomplish nothing and only let the fake news media set the agenda. Focus on creating content rather than responding to content others create. This is called the “Content Mindset.”

In life there is so much power in simply pushing forward towards you vision. If I responded to all of the nasty stuff about me, I’d never get any work done. My focus is on creating new films, books, videos, articles, and Tweets — Let the haters say what they will. What is Trump’s vision for America? There should be daily Periscopes and live streams directly with Trump or with someone who has an America first vision.

Run Trump’s Twitter, and Sean Spicer’s Twitter, like the Drudge Report or another popular Twitter account. Trump can set the news cycle by linking to articles. He should be linking to articles about the Awan Brothers, Anthony Weiner, and other vile and corrupt Democrats.

Trump should be linking to 5 to 10 news articles each day. This will allow his Twitter to not only be a direct voice to the people, but it will also become a news curation site. Someone like Laura Ingraham would be perfect at curating high-impact articles.

Make the fake news media and liberals own their criminals.

Trump had to disavow David Duke 15 times in one day. Why? David Duke isn’t anyone, but that’s the media game.

Today Anthony Weiner pled guilty to being a pedophile! Trump’s media team should demand that Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and everyone else disavow Weiner.

Cernovich has joined Info Wars, I think. He’s pretty good at dissecting the media.

good advice in the article

but number one priority for Trump should be do what he said would do (which, for the most part, he’s been doing). Then the people who voted for him last time will do it again.

He makes one statement of substance: “Thus one can see the problem with Trump’s media team. They are spending all of their time, energy, and focus responding to news that most Trump supporters won’t even see...”

And doesn’t provide facts or back it up.

Who is his “media team”.

What specifically is he referencing here: “spending all of their time, energy, and focus responding”.

“Cernovich has joined Info Wars, I think. He’s pretty good at dissecting the media.”

That is not a point in his favor.

The media may have a Constitutional protection of ‘freedom of the press’ but they sure as hell don’t have any right to spread lies. If a media report is proven to be untruthful the reporter should be required to reveal his news source. If he doesn’t the reporter should be charged with libelous reporting. It’s crazy that these looneys can report anything that they want and there are no consequences!!!

If its politics scalps the dems want the the Trump should relentlessly advocate for an independent council to investigate the Clintons, their foundation, hillarys emails, pizzagate, and the lolita express, and lets see who ends up in jail first. Trump can clear his own name by exposing the true criminals.

Everybody’s talking about leaks these days...what if there aren’t any leaks?

What if the media are just making it up and claiming that it came from leaks?

Indeed the MSM is attempting to overwhelm POTUS and the Country with a nefarious, deceitful agenda.

A side comment. It’s no secret that Newscorp controls FNC, and that Murdoch influences its politics, content, and personalities. But virtually every one fails to recognize the owners of the malicious MSM — Disney owns ABC, Time Warner owns CNN, Comcast owns NBC, and CBS obviously owns its same-named network — where each influences the politics of its news properties. So can anyone speak to why the parent corporations are not being held accountable for the egregious behavior of the hostile “journalists” on their payrolls? And while these parent companies do great things elsewhere, they’re certainly getting a pass for the media malice they at least facilitate to the detriment of the Country.

Mike Cernovich has joined Jones’ Infowars. He was wrong about pizza gate. He was wrong about McMaster firing. He was wrong about way more than he has been right.

Useless advice from a maroon

This article is partly correct. What he’s missing is that the corrupt rat media is not targeting Trump supporters. They know we aren’t watching their retarded shows or reading their propaganda rags. They are targeting the independents and rats that jumped ship and voted for President Trump in November. So the President’s “media team” has to counter their arguments or he risks losing these votes back to the rats. I think that President Trump is counting on jobs, jobs, jobs to keep these voters on his side, but they may walk if they think he’s the idiot scumbag that the rat media portrays him as.

I agree that he should put a stop to daily press briefings. They are just allowing the corrupt rats to have free shots at him. They will howl, of course, but they will anyway. Treat them with the contempt they are giving him. I like his idea about putting out linked articles that will keep his supporters informed about the truth - those who get their news from Twatter need exposure to the real world.

Fake leaks is as good a guess as anything else. Nothing valid or verifiable coming from the press. They just keep floating junk out to whittle away at the Trump administration. Pres Trump will stay in office eight years and the press and anti Trumpers will go crazy for eight years.
