“At least a dozen senators are widely thought to be in the mix including Vermonts Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Elizabeth Warren, New Jerseys Cory Booker, Californias Kamala Harris, Ohios Sherrod Brown, Oregons Jeff Merkley, New Yorks Kirsten Gillibrand, Connecticuts Chris Murphy, and both Minnesotans, Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken?
The far left, and the even-further far left. It’s all they have left.

Nobody on that list of senators scares anybody. I thought Kamala Harris might be a threat, but now that someone brought up her parents citizenship status when she was born, I think she’s out as a serious candidate. Booker might get a push by the Obama wing. Of course the media will pump up whoever becomes the Democrat nominee, but if we’re going off just this group of senators I think the Democrats are gonna have an uphill climb in 2020.

I still think it will be either Gavin Newsom
Gavin is living proof that you don't need brains to go far in this world. As a kid, he was in 'special ed.' We're talking about an 80 IQ kinda guy. And yet through a combination of connections, money, persistence, looks, speaking ability and a friendly media, he's managed to succeed as a politician.

A bunch of America-haters. Not a good one in the bunch.

What if Caitlyn Jenner or Michelle/Michael Obama ran? It would be more like, Holder/Weiner.

Get your “mix” on, Democrats, but it’s going to be hard to beat an incumbent president. Hasn’t been done since 1980.

They should run their Poster Girl: Mad MaxiPad
Everybody knows her. Everyone listens to her and she knows what’s best for the country. Yeah....put the MaxiPad and let’s see what happens.

None of them will win.
They all hate America.

I’m thinking it will be Cory Booker. They would love to nominate Barack Obama again, but they can’t, so they see Booker as the next closest thing.

The democrat’s bench looks remarkably like the bar scene in the first Star Wars movie back in 1977.

“Hasn’t been done since 1980.”
Unfortunately, Bill Clinton did just that when he beat incumbent president George Herbert Walker Bush in 1992.

That didn't stop Obama. The half the country that votes Democrat probably won't care.
I think shes out as a serious candidate. Booker might get a push by the Obama wing.
Corey comes across as a big softy. Somebody's going to push Corey Booker to the point where he either cracks up or gets nasty -- either way Humpty Dumpty loses.
Harris might actually be tougher and a more effective campaigner. She's not likely to win back many Trump voters, though.

Chris Murphy? In his entire life, did he ever done anything to create jobs? At least, he didn’t sue the ACC and Boston College like the other moron Senator from Connecticut did, so he is not that much of an idiot. Hey, Dems, I have the perfect candidate - Ted Kennedy, Jr. He is just a state senator in Connecticut, but think about it - you can run a Kennedy... Kennedy/Clinton 2020 Ted and Chelsea..think about it...:-)

Bill Clinton did just that when he beat incumbent president George Herbert Walker Bush in 1992. Ooops! Thanks for the correction.
The point remains, though. It's hard to beat an incumbent president, unless they really stink. I think Jimmy Carter and Poppy Bush both meet that description.

I think Murphy is probably the best they have, best being having the ability to message (he’s good, I disagree with EVERYTHING he says, but he says it well).
However, I do not think we’re going to see a white male at the top of their ticket again for a long, long time.

I disavow everything I just posted about Murphy. I was thinking of the Senator from Maryland.
I have no idea who this Murphy is.
