There is a difference between accidents and crimes.
IF bathtub accidents are the relevant cut off point, THEN, gun accidents would be cut-off. But nobody is advocating an end to gun control. Certainly not liberals.
IN FACT, the number of Americans killed by terrorists is TEN TIMES the number killed in bathtub accidents.
CNN is speaking to liberals, not to intelligent people. It has the problem of justifying why billions of dollars should be spent on the military as opposed to other priorities such as transgender medical procedures. Once people are dead, they don’t need government services, so killing people is a good thing. It’s like abortion and euthanasia. These are the crazy ways that liberals think.
With regard to crime and especially organized crime, those who would commit murder MUST BE STOPPED. We cannot allow murdering others to become acceptable. Life would become anarchy.
Based on the number of mass murderers identified by Wikipedia, 1 out of about 100 million non-Muslims succumbs to murderous rampage. Based on the figures compiled by Religion of Peace, 4 out of 100,000 Muslims do. Both figures are tiny, tiny figures. but the impact of 4 out of 100,000 Muslims succumbing to murderous rampages due to the ideology of Islamic Extremism cannot be tolerated.
Not only will tens of thousands of people (mostly innocent Muslims) continue to be killed, but if governments tolerate terrorism, there will be vigilante justice. Gangs will spontaneously arise. We might suppose that 4 out of 100,000 non-Muslims will engage in terrorism. Then, instead of having one or two incidents of non-Muslims doing something like that despicable man did in South Carolina - and why is he still breathing! - we’ll have incidents like that occurring regularly. During the height of the Klan, we had 100 hangings per year. Conservatives are not utopians. We recognize the ugliness that is in mankind.
Our answer to hate and violence, terrorism and anarchy, isn’t wishful thinking, or thinking about how much money do we have in the budget to subsidize the Piss Christ. It is to spend as much money as needed, to establish law and order. The problem with Islamic extremism, however, is not really our problem. While we are part of the world and should be willing to be part of the solution, the problem is mostly of the majority Muslim countries.
The article is saying we should spend money to stop terrorism. It sounds like you’re disagreeing with the article when you, me, and the article are all saying the same thing.
