I hope and pray you are wrong, but the buildup isn’t just for show. Something is in the works. I suspect the armada is going to be there as a ‘just in case’ things go terribly wrong.

That remains to be seen. It’s hard to know what other preparations are being made. The USN would often push a second carrier into theater in past confrontations (when we had more carriers). A third would sometimes go forward to maintain presence and to allow the 1st carrier on station to return home. If I’m not mistaken the 1st or 2nd carrier to reach Korean waters was diverted there, so she had already been at sea for some period.
