(It's a Scam) Trump’s Small Opening Shot on Global Warming
Fairfax Free Citizen ^ | June 3, 2017 | Jonathon A Moseley

Posted on 06/03/2017 6:26:56 AM PDT by Moseley

On June 1 President Donald Trump (a) took a giant bite out of the fairy tale of man-made global warming and (b) put a big check mark in his list of campaign promises kept. Other nations will slowly also defect from the Paris Accords, although we will endure hysteria first.

So, we must stop tip-toeing around with weak arguments.

First, we know that the Earth’s orbit changes over time, in overlapping Milankovicth cycles, which affect the Earth’s climate. Cyclical changes in the shape and size of Earth’s orbit cause ice ages. We are now still in a long-term warming trend coming out of the last ice age, having nothing to do with humans. The gravitational pull of the other planets tugs Earth into more oval or circular orbits (and back again) over thousands of years.

Second, consider how absurd the hoax is: What was the temperature of planet Earth just yesterday? Does anyone know? Yes, I mean one single temperature reading for the entire planet. We’d have to average the temperature measurements from all over the planet. But we don’t measure the whole planet, only isolated airports, cities, and selected sites. (Sampling is only predictive if it is truly random.) Temperature changes are overwhelmingly a result of air masses moving around, including to or from places where we don’t have measurements. We don’t know what Earth’s temperature was yesterday. How can we say what it was millions of years ago or will be a hundred years from now?

Third, temperature scales were only invented in the mid-1850s. So there was no way to keep meaningful temperature records before about the 1880s. Scientific instruments have to be calibrated for consistency among different manufacturers and different units. People didn’t start keeping meticulous records right away even in the few locations measured.

Republicans desperately avoid the central issue. Man-made global warming is the biggest hoax since P.T. Barnum. Neither Trump nor other Republican officials will confront the fact that it is a scam. By playing the “I don’t know” game, Republicans are encouraging massive lawsuits from other countries that will drain U.S. companies of hundreds of billions of dollars.

Republicans need to commit this article to memory and shout from the roofs that global warming is a scam. Fairness arguments are the domain of the left; so arguing unfairness to America, while true, makes us appear selfish and leaves the scam with a foot in the door for renegotiation of something marginally less unfair.

You are correct.

The entire “anthropocentric global warming (AGW)” narrative was developed because some totalitarian wannabes saw it as a way to impose socialist dictatorships, which people have consistently rejected since the 1800s. We wouldn’t accept socialism on its merits; therefore, socialism has to be disguised and passed off as something else. Various attempts to cloak socialism have failed—so AGW was concocted so as to use fear to get us to voluntarily give up our freedom.

We’re fighting back. All we have to do is keep pointing out that the science that supports AGW just is not there. Sure, there are thousands of scientific papers that “support” AGW—but if you actually read those papers, the “support” for AGW pretty much consists of “We observed x, which is happening because of AGW.” That kind of statement is meaningless. One could just as easily say, “We observed x, because a meteor streaked by last night.” None of these “because of AGW” validate the hypothesis of AGW, which remains a hypothesis despite decades of hysteria. What I have yet to see is any experimental or observational evidence that human activities have more than a local effect on climate, and whether local effects have global consequences or just fade into the background “noise.”

I think that once the prerequisite hysteria dies down, the other countries will quietly pull from the (non-binding) Paris accords. The international AGW agreements were never anything more than a vehicle to economically reign in the US. Let the agreements die.

I think you’re right. Time to go on offense. Tough to do with every public facing entity pushing the AGW lies but if the truth doesn’t come out now it may not come at all. A large portion of the country believes the BS as it is. Public opinion can be moved look what happened with gay marriage.

If you read Trump’s statement on the Paris pullout, he does call it a scam, although the words he used were wealth redistribution. Which is what a scam is.

Excellent. Sounds like you could write some good articles. Consider American Thinker. Editor@AmericanThinker.com or BarbWire. Or as here, Fairfax Free Citizen (which has the virtue of being in the outskirts of Washington DC)

Hopefully, the global warming issue will eventually be recognized for what it is: It’s nothing more than the crass manipulation of an ill informed and ill led people.

I like the way one article put it the other day - if ‘The Science is settled’ then there would only be ONE model - not three dozen.

Trump needs to create a group consisting of the scientists that have honestly been skeptical and quietly tell them to go off and build the evidence of the falsities of the scam and then have them present findings loud and clear.

Increased CO2 causes temperatures to rise. Increased temperatures cause water to evaporate faster. As water evaporates it rises to the upper atmosphere, where it is extremely cold. Hot water vapor meets cold air resulting in rain and snow. Rain and snow depress temperatures. Meanwhile, trees are consuming CO2 through photosynthesis.

And nature keeps the cycle going. Man, in his egotistical ignorance, thinks that his feeble attempts will overcome nature. What a crock.

Man’s ability to count things predates Galileo. Measuring temperatures and counting things are different processes.

Facts101:
CO2 does NOT cause a rise in temperatures.

CO2 typically FOLLOWS temp fluctuations.

Thank you.

As I edge closer to retirement, and think about how I will spend my retirement, I have considered using my experience and knowledge to write scientific articles for the lay public. Perhaps I will have a podcast.

MMGW or “Climate Change” is so difficult for establishment Republicans to identify for what it is, a brazen hoax, fraudulent power grab by internationalist progressive totalitarians, because they fear calling a spade a spade. If you point out the obvious truth regarding this massive deception, you must also finally admit that the political opposition that foists this lie upon the world, is led by mendacious technocratic criminals. Criminals that should be investigated, possibly prosecuted, and legally removed from any positions of power.

Our “leaders” have not the stomach nor the cahones to face this reality, much less actually do something about it. This is why we should now fully support President Donald Trump, for all our sakes, and our children’s future. To continue the process of caving in to this idiocy is to surrender to tyranny, nothing less.

Just think of the loudest squealing pigs:
Celebrities with their pet causes
Educrats government grants
Pandering politicians trolling for votes
“End of world” gurus lost platforms
Phony “scientist” revealed
Subsidized producers of earth saving gizmos

You can take it from here. I’m going to have another cup of coffee while I view the beauty of mother nature.

From the 1841 book "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds":

Every age has its peculiar folly: Some scheme, project, or fantasy into which it plunges, spurred on by the love of gain, the necessity of excitement, or the force of imitation.

And:

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
