DHS Officers Humiliate Judges by Enforcing Immigration Laws, Declares Judge
Breitbart ^ | 06/05/2017 | by Neil Munro

Judges are humiliated and dehumanized whenever they must enforce the nation’s immigration laws, according to a senior judge on the far-left Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The judge’s cry of outrage came when he could not block the orderly repatriation of an illegal immigrant who has two drunk driving convictions, plus a U.S. wife and three children.

“We are unable to prevent [Andres] Magana Ortiz’s removal, yet it is contrary to the values of this nation and its legal system,” complained Judge Stephen Reinhardt, who wishes to extend citizens’ rights to illegal foreign migrants. He said:

We are compelled to deny Mr. Magana Ortiz’s request for a stay of removal because we do not have the authority to grant it. We are not, however, compelled to find the government’s action in this case fair or just. … The government’s decision to remove Magana Ortiz diminishes not only our country but our courts, which are supposedly dedicated to the pursuit of justice. Magana Ortiz and his family are in truth not the only victims. Among the others are judges who, forced to participate in such inhumane acts, suffer a loss of dignity and humanity as well. I concur as a judge, but as a citizen I do not.

The judge, who was appointed — not elected — in 1980 and is married to a former top leader in the ACLU, also lamented the authority of ordinary DHS agents to enforce the law despite protests from well-paid, high-status “civil rights” lawyers:...

Anyone with (good) character and alternate career options would resign instead of being forced to do a job that involved “a loss of dignity and humanity”.

I’d bet this judge has alternate career options.

If he is unable to fulfill his oath of office in good conscience, he should never have sworn to do so. Did he think it was just a parlor game or some such?

...yet it is contrary to the values of this nation and its legal system,” complained Judge Stephen Reinhardt, ...

And this "Judge" is contrary to the oath of office to uphold the laws of the land and the Constitution....he pretty much disqualified himself from the position with that whiny sniffling...

Those that feel humiliated by upholding the law, are not fit to sit in judgment of others and should be removed from the court!

“We are unable to prevent [Andres] Magana Ortiz’s removal, yet it is contrary to the values of this nation and its legal system,”

The values of the country are codified in the laws it passes.
If his value system were in line with the values of the nation and legal system then it would line up with those laws. The fact that his value system does not line up with the laws means his values are contrary to the values of the nation and the legal system.

To impeach a judge, you have to show that they have committed a crime or failed their duty. This judge did the correct thing, he followed the law. But he complained about having to do so in a whiny manner that reminds me of a kindergartner.

If he has a pattern of using his position to make overtly political comments, impeachment may become an option. Until then, the best we may hope for is a reprimand.
