You would not know any of this from today’s reports in the MSM. This morning’s USA TODAY, for example, proclaims in over-sized headlines, “No Mincing Words, Comey Says Trump Lied.” No mention of Lynch, the Clinton campaign conspiracy, or Comey’s acknowledgment that Russia did not steal a single vote from Clinton or that there is no evidence that Trump conspired with the Russians. Nor does the article explain exactly how Trump allegedly lied (and neither did Comey).
There is a smaller article on the inside page entitled, “Leaks blamed on fired FBI director,” which is written to suggest that the Comey leak is mere speculation on the part of Trump and his lawyer. The articled fails to state that Comey admitted that he leaked the confidential memo or that the leak of such information is unethical and illegal.

Well, we knew the mainstream media would completely ignore that Comey vindicated Trump on the Russian connection. And glom onto whatever else they could find, however intangible. But it still is frustrating that they are so unethical and dishonest.
But the Russian connection has evaporated. And that’s what this was about.
