Dennis Rodman lands in North Korea on June 13, the same day that the North Koreans suddenly free American college student Otto Warmbier. Coincidence?
The State Department says so. A spokesman said that Rodman had nothing to do with Warmbiers release.
Theres no evidence that Rodman helped secure the release of Warmbier, a University of Virginia college student sentenced in 2016 to hard labor for ripping down a propaganda poster. The Secretary of States initial statement on Warmbiers release made no mention of Rodman.
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced June 13 that Warmbier was being released. Sadly, though, The Washington Post is reporting that the college student has been in a coma for a year and is being medically evacuated from North Korea. He is supposed to return home to Cincinnati on Tuesday, the Post reported.
The timeline doesnt work regarding Rodman. The Post reported that North Korea told the United States Warmbier was in a coma on June 5, and that Trump ordered his medical evacuation at that time, which kept quiet until now. This is a Trump-led effort, the Post quoted a source as saying.
However, Korean media is reporting that the coincidence of Rodmans arrival coinciding with the Warmbier release announcement has some Koreans talking. Also raising eyebrows: The fact that Dennis Rodman is close to Donald Trump: He starred on Donald Trumps television show, The Apprentice.

I’ve read this release was in the works as early as Tuesday the 6th of June. This means it was probably in the works even before that privately.
The Rodman visit may have been a factor in the negotiations, the U.S. rep reminding the North Koreans it would be a nice time to carry it out.
This is of course best guess conjecture.
Reality Winner?
Microagressions?
Leftist fascists beating oppenents on the street and campuses?
Somewhere in life I missed a stop and got off at The Master and Margarita station.
Why is Warmbier in a coma????
Of all of the people held by the fat boy, this kid is the least likeable. He was trying to steal something. A poster. A poster he probably could have purchased directly from the hotel guide.
What a fool.
Approximately six weeks after his arrest in March 2016 the Ohio native was sentenced to 15 years hard labour.
Mr Warmbier fell ill from botulism sometime after his March trial and fell into a coma after taking a sleeping pill.

Didn’t I read that he’s a Mormon?
“Why is Warmbier in a coma????”
Probably beat the s**t out of him every day for the past year. If he comes out of this coma, it would be a miracle he could ever function.
I guess I’m hard-hearted but I have zero patience or empathy for someone who travels to North Korea or Iran, gets incarcerated, and then wants the US State Department to negotiate their release. You chose to go to those places and now there are consequences.
Same thing for people who travel to countries with severe penalties for drugs, porn, weapons, bibles, etc. and are smuggling those items in their baggage. Are they so arrogant or naive that they think they are above the law or will convince a customs officer that their laws are wrong?
Why did Kim release him? I’m guessing he’s brain dead. Kim isn’t one to show “mercy” until every last ounce of retribution is extracted of someone on his ****list.
“in March 2016 the Ohio native was sentenced to 15 years hard labour.”
On TV I saw how defeated he was.Since then I’ve been praying for him. I’m glad that he’s coming home.
ps: some of these heartless comments are pathetic. Conservative, but not very compassionate.
Hey,give the fat psychopath *some* credit for "mercy".At least he didn't use a surface-to-air missile on him.
Totally agree with your post. Otto made a mistake and his life changed immediately. Who knows what absolute horror he has endured since his imprisonment? He has been in my prayers, and I am grateful that he is being returned to the U.S. Through the grace of God, may he make a miraculous recovery.
Agreed. I was horrified for the young man. He was just being slightly stupid and most of us have done far stupider things. I agree that traveling to NKis a treacherous activity and should only be undertaken willing to risk torture/imprisonment. However our youth are so brainwashed today that if we go in as helpful Hannah’s we will be welcomed. That is not his fault.
Poor young man.
It's sort of interesting that the North Koreans blame something he ingested. Unless I am misinformed about their hospitality, I would expect that he had access to only what they gave him to eat, drink, or swallow.

Dennis did a few Lines with the Young-Un and Bingo or did he sleep with him ,Barf
