A refrigerator “blew up?”
Ever been in a country with enough muslims to notice during ramadan. Not a pleasant place day or night. They get very irritable by the time it ends.
...... I looked this up and apparently it is a real thing in the UK .... There are badly designed fridges with Eco-Friendly Coolant that Causes Refrigerators to Explode.
Got me. This guy was explaining his escape story and mentioned his neighbor pounded on his door to warn him, and told him his refrigerator had exploded.
Don’t know what to make of it, other than that.

As bad as that Dubai fire looked, nobody died.
The skin of the building burned off, but everybody got out, because only the skin of the building was on fire.
Have you ever heard of an exploding refrigerator? not me
They were telling residents to put a wet towel over their mouths and to get out and NOT to wait for services. Yikes. As if services could even get to this building/upper floors :(

In my city (one of the five largest in America) there are plans to reduce a major road down to 2 lanes (one in each direction) to put in Uber stands and expand the sidewalks for vendors and crap.
It is also designed to reduce “car” traffic (they would be encouraged to find other routes).
Ultimately any development, especially residential, especially dense population with vertical redevelopment, needs proper city services INCLUDING emergency vehicle response.

You know, as much as we carp about regulations, there are some that are very good.
That type of a refrigerator should be against the fire code for a multiple family dwelling like that.
That is strange. I have been to the site several times and read many articles on the site with no problem.

It’s how they keep their beer warm.
Nope, I’ve not heard of any exploding refrigerators, either.
Odd how one exploding fridge could cause the entire building to be immediately engulfed in flames.

Butane/propane as a refrigerant? Truth be told, there exist “refrigerators” that use those as a refrigerant. That and ammonia and other cooling methods.
My very first thought, too.
