Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign following Tuesday's Senate Intelligence Committee hearing.
In a series of tweets, the senator said, "Sessions was forced to recuse himself from the Russia investigation after he lied to Congress about multiple meetings with the Russians," and "But even after recusing himself, Sessions recommended that the President fire FBI Director Comey - who was leading the Russia investigation."

I, for one, would like to take the emotion and name out of responding to her fabrications, because I don’t want anyone on either side of the aisle to misunderstand or hide behind “well, X caller her names”. Your mileage may vary, name calling may work better for you.
Correction #1: Sessions reused himself from the counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling in the Presidential election because he was a part of the Trump presidential campaign, not because of any ‘lies’.
Correction #2: Sessions, probably like other senior officials, was being assisted in his filling out of his SF-86 by a professional investigator. Not only was he being accurate and forthright about his interactions with the Russians on the form, he was doubly so as his contact was not just part of his official government duties but it was not “close and continuing” which is a part of that foreign contact sextion
Correction #3: Sessions recused himself from the dealings of the Russia counterintelligence probe, not all duties of the Attorney General. He is still organizationally above the FBI director and would have all legitimate reason to weigh in on this important decision... And plenty of reason to come to the conclusion he did. Further to that, Comey was the Director of the FBI, not the director of the Russia Investigation Agency.
Correction #4: Comey, unless he was even more corrupt than his recent record may allude to, was not running the Russia probe. There was probably three layers of management between him and anyone working that case on a daily basis and influencing its direction. Firing Comey to scuttle that investigation would have no effect in the direction of the probe unless there was a quick replacement with a new sycophant FBI director loyal only to Trump, which clearly hasn’t occurred.
Correction #5: the “collusion” smear from the left implies only one thing: the Trump campaign knowingly and willfully cooperated with the Russian government to throw the US presidential election in Trump’s favor. That is one hell of a burden of proof to meet and takes a lot of deliberate ignorance to swallow. How did Trump know to convince Hillary to use her private server, how did he get her campaign manager to use something as obvious as ‘password’ as his email password? How did he convince Loretta Lynch and James Comey to tilt the scales against prosecution in such a way that it enflamed public sentiment while simultaneously convincing her campaign to avoid the Midwest, get Hillary’s personal aide to marry a sex criminal, recruit an energetic socialist to primary Hillary and also get Debbie Schultz to push the primary system so hard in Hillary’s favor that it sucked the energy out of her natural base? Trump is either an oaf or a genius, he can’t be both at once.

Because they are stupid. Sessions is great for the democrats. He won’t go after any of them. They are his “former-colleagues” after all.
It seems like Sessions could refuse to answer any Russian question, and say he must keep silent because he recused himself from that investigation.
