ESPN’s Kellerman: NFL Is ‘Injecting Politics’ by Playing the National Anthem at Games
Breitbart ^ | June 15,2017 | by Trent Baker

The ESPN personality then argued that Kaepernick did not inject politics into the NFL, but rather the NFL injects politics by playing the national anthem and “putting pressure” on people to stand.

Partial transcript as follows:

They both were asked to do things that went against their conscience. In this country, in the United States of America, you don’t have to do that. We are free to make our own choices. And if our conscience is bothering us, we can follow that.

In Muhammad Ali’s case, he was asked to take a step forward and become a part of the Vietnam War, and he was against it on religious and moral and ethical principles, and he refused to take the step and he faced five years jail time but was ultimately vindicated in a Supreme Court case. OK, but he did have his prime stripped, his license revoked and he couldn’t earn a living for four years, all that.

Colin Kaepernick also did not go looking for a protest. It came to him. He was asked to stand for the national anthem. You do not have to stand for the national anthem. And even if it it was a rule that you did, is that Colin Kaepernick injecting politics in the NFL? No. That’s the NFL injecting politics by playing the national anthem and putting pressure on you to stand for it in the first place.

Will the NFL demand players stand this year or not come on the field until after the anthem

All they have to do is look at what is happening to ESPN

Glad to have a Libtard affirm that honoring the flag and national anthem proves to be such an imposition on the liberal “conscience”....

I have no idea when the idea of playing the anthem at the beginning of a game started, but its been around a lot longer than ESPN.

I used to spend my days photographing collegiate sports. I would sometimes shoot three or four games in a day. I will admit that hearing it several times a day can make a person a little jaded.

But there is nothing in the world like hearing that song, with the wind snapping the flag, and the sun shining down on your face on a nice October afternoon. Its almost a religious experience.

So, would tell ESPN to STFU.

I used to really like Max Kellerman when he was covering boxing. Looks like he’s gone full retard.

I wonder if the NFL will obey Kellerman’s order to cease and desist. They might.

Then ESPN and pro sports should drop its recognition of MLK Day and the whitewashed (no pun intended) “Black History Month”. After all these are offensive to people of morality, ethics, and fundamental fairness, and whites and Asians who get screwed out of meritorious employment, promotions and admissions because of the color of their skin. Racial pandering and “diversity” programs serve only to discriminate against innocent American citizens, and thus ESPN et al are participants in this discrimination.

Not defending his statement, but he is probably trying to hang onto his job. ESPN still seems to be under the mistaken idea that Barry Soetero is still preezy, which is why their network continues to circle the bowl.
