Several Democrats in Congress warned President Trump on Friday that he will face consequences if he fires special counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. All Americans, regardless of party, agree on the fundamental principle that no one is above the law, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) told MSNBC Friday. And if President Trump were to fire Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, and then [get] special counsel Mueller fired, I believe Congress would begin impeachment proceedings.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) echoed Lieus sentiments, saying that Congress would come together to make sure they overrule Trumps authority on the matter.
Congress will not allow the president to so egregiously overstep his authority, Schiff said in a statement.
If President Trump were to try to replicate [former President Richard] Nixons Saturday Night Massacre by firing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in addition to Mueller, Congress must unite to stop himwithout respect to party, and for the sake of the nation, he added.
Trump claimed on Twitter that he was being investigated for his decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey, insinuating that the man who told [him] to fire the FBI Director is also the one investigating him, referencing the deputy attorney general. He concluded the tweet by saying that the investigation is a witch hunt against him:

Forewarned is forearmed. Jail for all those who colluded in this overthrow, be they "news reporters," sitting congresspeople, or Hollywood sphincter-grease. Make an example of the 20-30 most well known, and play "whack-a-mole" with whoever jumps up yelping in support of the treasonous seditionist bastards.
Agree with you 1000%. These people both Dem and rep are so spiritually blind, they haven’t a clue what’s around the bend. God will not be mocked.
The Demonuts keep forgetting you need a Majority in Congress to run it
“The sole purpose of the Republican Party is to serve as an ineffective alternative to the Democrat Party.”
Trump should appoint a Republican hack special counsel that hires Anne Coulter as chief of staff to investigate The PIAPS. Then appoint another one to investigate Pig-louse. Do a third one that investigates little Debbie and Loretta Trigger-Word.
Turn about is far play
Must be another baseball game coming up.
Rosenstein should recuse, resign, or change scope of investigation into a review.
Next in line DEP AG should recall Mueller, fire him, or change scope.
How can you impeach a President for a lawful action?
They’re just being petulant children. It’s doubtful many of them supported Trump in the primaries, and he wiped the floor with the candidates they did support. They’re still “acting out” like five-year-olds who didn’t win Musical Chairs at the birthday party.
Democrats are all uniparty.
Republican leadership are all uniparty.
When? Half past never.
Their entire rationale is it was “wrong” that Hillary didn’t win.
Freakin’ babies.
They can’t. They lie like Obama and Hillary.
If a growing chorus of Republican lawmakers publically call for the end of this witch hunt, then the president should feel free to fire Mueller
Charges are only serious when they are affect Republicans, you know that.
“Congress will not allow the president to so egregiously overstep his authority, Schiff said in a statement.”
This big mouth Secular Progressive Jew “grew up” here in Danville, CA. Glad he didn’t stay!
Do these loons realize they have ZERO power in Congress, ZERO..they really need to get over the fact that they LOST and LOST BADLY
Hillary is above the law.
Well, Paul Nehlen announced he’s going to run against Ryan in the next primary. He only lost by 68 points last time, maybe he can close the gap.
Paul Ryan is loved by his constituents and will be in the House as long as he wants to be, no matter how much you don’t approve of him.
