The Deep State wants World War III with Russia and Iran.

It will end up in nuclear war and kill all of us if this insanity is allowed.

Naturally, the U.S. was protecting ISIS/ Al-Qaeda Enemy Forces (aka new B.S. name (S.D.F. Syrian Defense Forces).

Whoever in the U.S. government said and made the decision this was justified..... Should be immediately terminated, arrested, all assets seized, interrogated and charged. I hope President Trump fires him. The Deep State is out of control.

I guess this is one way prove there was no collusion with Russia.

As in Vietnam, we supported one side, the Russians supported the the other side.

Its only a matter of time until young hotshots on either side prideful of their skills and confident about their equipment face off and cause some real damage. Its coming so hopefully both the Russians and Americans don’t overreact and start a real war. This Mideast quagmire is a ruination.

This is a great escalation of events in the Middle East that could easily lead to World War III if we are not careful.

I read that Iran had launched Missiles too on the same day.

Funny how all these Deep State wishes for war with Russia and Syria happen on the day President Trump is out of town (Camp David) for Father’s Day.

President Trump needs to find out who authorized it and fire them.

The Turks shot down a Russian fighter that supposedly ventured into their airspace and nothing much was made of it.

I'm wondering if the CIA didn't have some imbeds in the group of terrorists Syria was attacking. Pure speculation.

We have no business bombing targets in Syria unless it's in cooperation with the Assad regime. It can't go anywhere good if another government topples. In this case, there's just too much evidence that "friendly rebels" we've trained have gone rogue and taken weapons with them. That's a better hypothesis than if the CIA is in cooperation with ISIS. But who knows any more in these crazy times?

Russia would never - I repeat, never - target a USAF asset (that is not a drone) in Syria. Sure, Russia is not as weak as many here try to make the country appear. It is obviously a major nuclear power, and its conventional forces have proven recently to be better than many would have given them credit for (e.g. their small naval corvettes have been very interesting). However, it is not able to engage with the US in a conventional war, its impact in an Iran-like covert war (e.g. how Iran was teaching Iraqi insurgents to make effective explosively-formed projectile IEDs that could take out a tank) would be highly ineffective in Syria considering how there are no (non spec-ops) US ground troops in Syria, and finally a nuclear escalation would just be as damaging to Russia as it would be to the US, and is thus not an option due to planes being shot down.

This is all bluster - yes, there is real anger, but the outcome of that anger is basically the statement that it will target coalition jets.

Russia is more powerful than many make it seem, but it is still considerably weaker than the US is. Considerably. It is not even a leopard to the US' lion. It is more like a large aggressive bobcat to the US' African lion. The mistake most make is they make it seem like some tired old house cat, or go to the other extreme and make it into a tiger. When the truth is that it's more of a large aggressive bobcat. Definitely able to mess your day in a variety of interesting ways, but not able to waltz your it's superiors and act gnarly.

Russia is sounding (towards the U.S. in the Syria war theater) more and more like Saddam Hussein and his mouth piece Baghdad Bob.

Somehow I don’t believe General Mattis is going to blink.... The Russian bully, Putin, is full of bluster and knows full well that it is a no win situation to escalate to war with the U.S.

This just triggers more diplomacy is required.

Trump is opposing Russia to cover up that he is in collusion with Russia. Or, wait a minute ...

The Sicilian in me suspects that he is leaking to the mainstream media that he is in collusion with Russia in order to lull Putin into a false sense of security so he can oppose Russia.

On the other hand, it could be that he is signaling to Putin that he knows that there relationship is so tight that he could shoot a Syrian plane in the middle of Madison Avenue and Putin would still support him.

Just noise. Russia lacks the capabilities to do so.
