Former Republican Speaker Newt Gingrich is deeply concerned about Robert Mueller’s ability to lead a non-partisan, unbiased investigation, he said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation
“The fix is in,” Gingrich told TheDCNF. “This is the establishment counter-attacking legally when they lost politically.”
Gingrich is specifically concerned about the fact that Mueller’s ex-law firm, WilmerHale, gave $326,798 to Hillary Clinton in the run up to the 2016 presidential election, compared to the $628 that the firm donated to Trump.
Robert Mueller, a distinguished attorney who served 12 years as FBI director under former president’s George W. Bush and Barack Obama, was appointed to serve as special counsel for the Department of Justice in its investigation of any links or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump.
Since his May 17 appointment by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Mueller has put together a team of lawyers including former prosecutor and WilmerHale partner Jeannie Rhee and former DOJ attorney Andrew Weissmann.
“I love this in terms of transparency, [Rhee’s] job was to defend the Clinton Foundation against Freedom of Information Acts,” Gingrich said. “I mean, you can’t make this stuff up.”
“Another one was repudiated by the Supreme Court, nine to zero in the Arthur Anderson case, where they said that said he had hidden evidence,” Gingrich asserted.
“The same guy did something similar in hiding evidence against Enron, and four people spent a year in jail who were innocent,” Gingrich said, likely referring to Weissmann.
Gingrich slammed Republicans for not doing enough. “Unfortunately, all too many Republicans are sleepwalking and pretending this is all okay,” he told TheDCNF.

Look at what Michael Cohen’s new lawyer said about Mueller. Now we have the new spokesperson for the Trump legal team who has said the same thing about Mueller.
It is hard for me to understand why this new guy was hired given his tweets. I keep thinking who he could be on FR. I am one candidate but it isn’t me. There aren’t very many here that have posted the same things he has posted on twitter. He doesn’t like Kushner. Thinks he is part of the swamp.

I think they are really trying to egg Trump on to fire them and end the investigation. They have nothing to investigate that would lead to any indictments against the Trump administration. What they really want is their Watergate 2.0 so they can impeach Trump and remove him from office.
The only way to counter this is to start charging/executing people for sedition/treason. That is the only way to drain this swamp...

I’d like to think that many of our leaders would like the NeverTrumpers to get themselves calmed down and focused on something having to do with governing the country.
The left leaders can’t abandon their irrational followers so they can’t speak truthfully, but on the other had they want to move on from Trump hate.
These leaders want eventually to be able to something like, “boy we thought this guy was a crook, and maybe he still is, but the very thorough investigation has turned up nothing so we must direct our energies elsewhere”.
I hope the investigation will reveal crimes by Comey, Lynch, the Clintons, etc.
