“But the overarching theme among Democrats was a sense of sharp urgency about crafting a positive agenda around kitchen-table issues...”

______________________________________________________

ANY type of “positive around kitchen-table issues” left the democrat party for good by the 1970’s.

"The Dream Shall Never Die." John Ossoff, 2017

"The Dream Shall Never Die." Ted Kennedy, 1980

Ossoff isn't even an original fake.

Exactly. But my bet is that especially the youngster progs have no idea what that represents let alone, it’s history. If they had a clue, they wouldn’t be espousing these same views in their words and deeds..

They have no idea of the query posed by that great Moral Philosopher, Adam Smith, in his "A Query Into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations."

Instead of focusing on the "creation of wealth," in their myopic view, they only crave power enough to "redistribute" the earnings of other citizens whose intelligence and productivity they can use to gain more and more power over other citizens.

someone needs to do a spoof on Wayne Newton’s song - instead of ‘danke schoen’ - sing ‘Schadenfreude, oh oh Schadenfreude’

The Democrat 2018 campaign strategy to take back the House:

Spend $11 billion($25 million per house seat).

Come within 4 points of winning and declare victory.

Stay classy, Dems. More assassination porn, beheadings, and ballpark shootings. Oh, and don’t forget to sprinkle it with a little hate for capitalism, the Constituion, and Christians.

They harassed the voters. The most money ever spent in a Congressional race meant that every TV commercial was an Ossoff ad.

Then they were bussing in all kinds of volunteers that were constantly banging on your door wanting your vote.

Want to have an uninterrupted meal with your family? Too bad.

His numbers collapsed during the final week, voters were just sick of it.

“Millions of Americans are desperate to be led by political leaders who stand for something, are willing to take risks, and are willing to tell the truth and engage Americans where they live. That just isn’t happening.”

Uh, that is exactly why we elected President Trump.

It’s never really talked about, but I think for a lot of Americans the real wake up call was when the Democrats shoved Obamcare down our throats. Sure, Obama himself won reelection against a very lukewarm Republican who demonstrated an unwillingness to fight, but the undeniable trajectory of the Democrat Party has been all downhill from then.

I think a lot of Americans saw the Democrat Party collude with the media and foist the very unpopular and unwanted Obamacare on the American public and that was a huge political turning point. I believe American saw the naked power the Democrats used against the will of the electorate and that started a sea change in politics which they still haven’t quite figured out.

Democrats also sold out to Wall Street along with Hollywood and Palo Alto. Thus they have become a regional bi-coastal party of New York and California. They have thrown their financial and cultural weight around for so long that their hubris no longer allows self examination.

I believe the American public began to really see this evil axis when Obamacare was forcibly passed. As Democrats and the media subsequently squelched any and all dissent of Obama the public quietly, but with resolute certainty, became galvanized and have voted accordingly. The electoral scorecard since 2010 is proof of this.

Rage born out of smug self-righteousness is not an agenda. If one runs into a such a self-righteous person at a backyard party you avoid them. If you run into a group of such self-righteous who are also filled with demonstrable rage, you run away and have nothing to do with them.

The Democrat Party are being run by a self-righteous (think Obama) mob who are filled with rage. America is running away from them.
