Hewitt especially hates the USC Trojans. When he made a local appearance, I made sure to wear my USC tie to annoy him--and he was annoyed!
Hewitt is a Cheap Labor Express propagandist like his fellow Salem talker Medved.
They fake being conservative.
I guess they didn’t pay attention to Mark Ruffalos (plays the Hulk) demand not to hire any more white people or else. This should be a lot of fun to watch the lefties flip out because they weren’t listened to.
No. It will be a Joe Scarborough type of sell out.
I was an avid listener of Smerconish in Philly and then he went all out Obamatard and that was that. He got his dream job at CNN thereafter.
“Hugh Hewitt will say anything if you pay him enough.”
that’s true of ALL of them, excepting Sean Hannity. All but him are nothing but whores who accept a paycheck to say whatever they are told to say. There’s simply no such thing as a “conservative” or “liberal” commentator. They are all simply employees of gigantic megalithic corporations. Nothing more. Most people here still haven’t figured that out.
I don’t get it either.
Conservative - Hugh Hewitt a conservative? Maybe be comparison to the commie bastards at PMSNBC but not in real life. Conservative my ash! Sell out scumbag.
Hewitt loves gop establishment chamber of commerce open borders dirtbags like paul ryan. He is a full on gop e shill. The conservative nonsense is just his mantra since there is no liberal radio. If you want a fake conservative like jennifer rubin, david brooks, michael medved, douthat, jonah goldberg, etc then hewitt is for you.
Exactly, Hewitt is an establishment type. Keep that in mind if you listen to him. Some call him a squish.
I always thought she would have been good going after fraud & waste in govt programs.
I was thinking exactly that, a nice fit.
I really miss Bill Bennett and the young men who did t show with him.
>> I really miss Bill Bennett and the young men who did t show with him <<
I thought that much of the time, esp. when he was doing a monologue, or when covering education, Bennett was terribly boring — nearly unlistenable.
Then there was his weird practice of skipping every Friday. Not really a smart way to build a loyal audience. To make matters worse, his Friday sit-in hosts were dismal radio personalities — Rick Sanctomonio, Mike Steele and Mark Davis. I couldn’t listen for more than a minute or two. Ugh.
On the other hand, Bennett’s Mon-Thu shows had some great regulars as guests — like the two Michaels, Leedeen and Rubin, and Bing West. And Bill did yeoman service as an interviewer. Those segments usually were what made his program worthwhile for me.
As for Hewitt, his morning show has been a disappointment, with maybe the exception of his Larry Aarn interviews on Fridays. It seems that without most his former regulars like Mark Steyn and James Lileks, Hewitt comes perilously close to a Bennett-like drabness.
(And his constant hawking of Relief Factor makes matters all the worse.)
Salem should be ashamed of HUGH HEWITT!
You are wrong!! They will LOVE Hugh because he stands up FOR the LEFT!! He even calls the leftist press....PATRIOTS!! Hugh is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!
Hewitt”s not a conservative. He worships Mitt.
“They will LOVE Hugh because he stands up FOR the LEFT!!”
Hewitt is a middle of the road commentator. He supported Trump when it came to election time, and has been one of the radio jock’s that has consistently both supported and hammered each side for a long time. Hewitt is a longtime promoter of what he and other conservative pundits call the new media (talk radio and blogs) as a means to balance what they regard as liberal bias in the mainstream media. Hewitt was described as one of the five “best-read national conservative bloggers” in a 2007 memo from the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He disclosed publicly he voted for Trump.
A recurring theme on Hewitt’s show is accusing the mainstream media of liberal bias and lack of transparency, and the unwillingness of reporters to answer questions about their own political beliefs. Hewitt donated $2,300 to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign in 2008, as well as many other Republican candidates over the years, including U.S. Senator Norm Coleman and President George W. Bush.
In the lead up to the February 5, 2008, Republican primaries, Hewitt became known for the slogan “A vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.” His dislike of McCain has been a joining from other radio hosts and he has been openly against McCain’s thoughts and actions.
So, it isn’t because Hewitt is pro left, he isn’t. Not by his actions or his theories. But because he won’t be a pro left host, and not bleed liberal blood for them forsaking his conservative offset, they will not keep him. No one that is not totally left and willing to twist anything necessary to either prove the right wrong or the left right, (like that?) and be willing to look like a blatant liar, will not stay on a liberal show. The liberal shows do not consider themselves either fair or balanced. He’s just taking a job. And I hope they are stupid enough to let him get some parting shots out.

Hugh is NO LONGER a Conservative like he USED to be 10 years ago!! He is now an ELITIST....and do NOT ridicule his leftist co-workers!!!
