Underestimate... overestimate... what difference, at this point, does it make?
***********
Actually, you’re right about that. Either way, CNN’s reputation and image have taken a serious hit. So bad that it may well be easy to underestimate, and hard to overestimate because O’Keefe’s video is REALLY revealing and damaging. This is the kind of “sting” that leads to lasting damage to the brand.
To be sure, CNN still has its loyal and fanatical base of followers, but average people see the network for the vicious propaganda machine that it is and will never trust them again.
Yes, the hardcores will never abandon the narrative - but I think a lot of regular folks are getting pretty tired of this scheisse.
‘To be sure, CNN still has its loyal and fanatical base of followers...’
In the end, I predict, that the only thing that’s been propping up CNN is insider clout and big bucks.
If you want to see a fanatical following, you need to find prophets of doom enviro-wackos or Alex Jones, UF-ologists, or gurus of the occult.
‘Either way, CNNs reputation and image have taken a serious hit.’
THAT conclusion was spot-on though!
I’ve said it before and will say it again — this has always been a war of media credibility.
