“Straight repeal of Obamacare would be the surest way for the GOP to lose the House in 2018 that I can think of”
the SUREST way is to break their promises to REPEAL and replace!
none of the current bills even come close to that.
Both Trumps Presidency and the GOP will be destroyed if this fake repeal bill becomes law.
GOPcare still leaves in place 99.9% of obamacare.
it does nothing to bring down cost of insurance or even more importantly, cost of health care itself, since both parties are totally bought out by drug and insurance companies, and healthcare and medication costs are still going to be through the roof.
it does nothing about competition, either in insurance or healthcare.
it does nothing to rein in obscene drug prices.
it does nothing about insurance across state borders.
it does nothing about insurance companies selling cheap catastrophic insurance, or any other policies they so desire, as long as legal and not fraudulent.
it does nothing about eliminating obamacare mandates that make insurance unaffordable.
RepublicanCare is a sick joke.
theyd be WAY better off to pass no bill at all and let kommiecare collapse in a year, and THEN theyd have a universal mandate to actually repeal and replace.
Both Trumps Presidency and the GOP will be destroyed if this fake repeal bill becomes law.
Nonsense! Hyperbole much?

Please explain how removing the mandates AND the taxes ‘leaves in place 99.9% of 0Care’???? And...this is just phase ONE of the three phased proposal, not to mention EO’s and in committee...BUT, a bill has to get passed/signed FIRST.

‘Obscene’? As defined by? What right/authority of govt to control prices??

Mandates are but a SLIVER of what makes ‘insurance’ (since we’re really talking INSURANCE). GOVT is what makes *everything* more $$$

You must have been sleepy, you inadvertently added ‘...and replace’.
Aside from the few stumbles, I’d concur w/ your sentiment.
Though, IMO, the (R) should lose in ‘18, having already showed us their bitch-slap (passing multiple repeals then ‘mysteriously’ not able to do so when given Congress/WH again).
No apology, no excuses and, yet, some here will SILL pull the lever. Sorry, won’t vote for anyone\party that blatantly lies to my face. We gave you what you wanted, to give us what We wanted, and reneged on the promise.
Fool me once (GW), shame on me, fool me twice...but not thrice.
My $.02 (which, by now, costing more to create than its worth, is maybe -$.03?? Topic for another thread/day).
