Compromise will not lead to single-payer.
Obamacare must fail.
It must fail hard.
It must destroy private solutions in the process.
Then single-payer insurance is the only option (unless government takeover of health providers becomes an option).
They will not compromise until we look like Venezuela (but US lefties are smart enough to “do Venezuela right” and limit the pain). Even then, their offered compromises will look like Cuba. Until then, other ideas are blasphemy since they interfere with the religious-like journey toward the ideals of Venezuela.
