The Senate has already said no to this suggestion.

Voters in thirty states voted for the Trump agenda.

YES! Brilliant Idea! Just repeal the damn thing and put pressure on the democrats to come up with acceptable ways to help the poor with their heath care. Let them make the case for funding planned parenthood.

I think that just the released pressure on the country that would go with repealing would make a lot of people instantly forget about any replacement.

If there are individual issues that need addressing, then address them individually, but no use screwing up an entire industry to satisfy a group of power-hungry politician communist punks.

Total Medicaid spending fiscal year 2016:

$553,453,647,756

http://www.kff.org/medicaid/state-indicator/total-medicaid-spending/?currentTimeframe=0&sortModel=%7B%22colId%22:%22Location%22,%22sort%22:%22asc%22%7D

“Federal spending on Medicaid in 2015 was about $350 billion, almost one-tenth of the $3.7 trillion federal budget. That money is supplemented by the states, so total spending on Medicaid services was $545 billion that year. Those numbers have been increasing as health costs rise and the number of people who are eligible for the program expands.

“That’s what makes Medicaid a rich target for Republicans who want to put a lid on its growth. The Senate and House health plans would cap the amount Medicaid will spend per person, and then give states that amount of money to administer the program largely as they please.

“Medicaid pays the costs for about 62 percent of seniors who are living in nursing homes.”

Voters in thirty states voted for the Trump agenda.

The 52 Republican senators don't much care what the voters voted for.

Exactly. Or don’t replace it. Just tweak teh system we had pre-0bamacare.

We never asked for it to be replaced. That was all worthless Mitt Romney's idea in 2011 and 2012. Repeal it. Let insurance companies sell their products across state lines, enact sensible tort reform and let the marketplace take care of the rest.

If politicians feel the need to expand Medicare, let the states do it. And let the states define the terms for using Medicare. They should be the same as any other insurance company including co-pays, deductibles and a means tested premium. I'm sick and tired of the leeches in this country bleeding the rest of us dry.

Correct. They pretend to care for about 6 weeks every 6 years.

When will Trump invite the heads of insurance companies to sit down with him to discuss what they will do to help fix the mess they and Obama created?

Well then it's up to Trump to play hardball and make the care.

Hardball might be vetoing any bill that provides infrastructure money in any state whose Senator voted no.

Trump might refuse to declare disasters in refusnik Senatorial states.

We are tired of the refusal to repeal the unconstitutional fines.

Definitely repeal Obamacare. The Democrats are snickering behind those stern looks, and caustic remarks, because they know they have won IF the Republicans come up with ANY replacement.

Replacement for Obamacare means the government’s nose is under the edge of the tent, and it won’t take but one more Democrat administration to turn it all back to what Obama, and his thieves had going.
