We live in Illinois, but not in Chicago or Cook County. It is pretty conservative where we live. Unfortunately, the cancer that is Chicago and Chicago politicians dominates state government. I am retired, and we’d move out of state if my wife were able to make the move. However, she is a semi-invalid and would not be able to physically handle any kind of move.
Southern DE-—Sussex County.
Low property taxes, no sales tax. Does have an income tax.
Rural area with beach towns.

I would suspect you will find that same situation in New York and California. Between those two states,illegals and voter fraud the Democrats control America. Democrats would probably never win another National Election if those 3 situations did not prevail. You see these states not wanting to turn over their voter rolls,it is because of fraud in the ballot box. We are being subverted by illegals and Democrats.

I’d recommend looking first at nine swing states...they all could use another conservative...
Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Hampshire or Florida.

It’ll take you a couple of years to fully appreciate what a wise choice you’ve made. In days to come, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get here a whole lot faster.
In the end, people will just walk away from their houses. If you can't sell the property, rent it so at least someone else can pay the taxes for a while. But anyone owning real estate in Illinois should be selling now, even if you have to rent something yourself for a while before you can get out of Illinois.
Just two more years of having the cancerous growth on the Northeast corner of the state raid my finances in order to bribe welfare cheats, illegal aliens, teachers, and other filth to vote Democrat. I will be taking substantial assets with me.
Tennessee...beautiful country..fairly mild climate and no state income tax.
