Exactly. If it’s a tradition, ignoring it should be no problem, Mitch.
The gop are conspirators against President Trump and us.
Don’t recall the Constitution prescribing blue slips. Guess I just missed it.
Get rid of all these stupid senate 'rules' that promote 'comity' and allow the demonRATS the opportunity to stall until they get back into power.
If/when the demonRATs regain senate and house control and get into the White House, the 60 vote rule for anything will be gone/ the blue slip bye-bye, and they will be cheered by the press.
The Republicans made good use of the rule when Obama was president so don't look to them to drop it now. They may need it again.
The Senate is a retarded institution.
Senators are supposed to be picked by State Legislatures.
The 17th Amendment is nonsense.
The people elected Trump to be an agent of disruptive change. They elected McConnel because ... duh, uh, hmm, wut?
Some Senate “traditions” should get “pink slips” by a correct thinking GOP Senate leader. Unfortunately that won’t be McConnell.
Not constitutional, so McConnell could drive forward immediately if he would so choose.
Is there some benefit it having home state senator input? Only to the extent they can do deep background checks. Those can be done in many other ways. This practice is what assures liberal circuit courts staying liberal. Lib senators will seldom sign off on solid conservatives.
Time to end this process. It has no constitutional purpose.
“They can stall but they are not the majority! .....”
NOW!
What are we waiting for? STOP THE DELAYS! F___K (ForK) Senate tradition, and confirm as many judges as there are positions for, while Trump is president, but MORE IMPORTANTLY, while we still control the Senate.
