Let the Japanese start spinning up nukes. We can buy the surplus and maybe learn a thing or two.
We should at least waive the provision in the WWII treaty that prohibits them from having the bomb. I dont know if they would make one but it would certainly be a wake up call to China that this effort to reduce US influence in the region could backfire.
