James McPherson, writing in the Washington Examiner, makes a remarkable observation: the leaders of Europe have no children. France’s Emmanuel Macron has none. Same with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British prime minister Theresa May, Italian prime minister Paolo Gentilon, Holland’s Mark Rutte, Scotland’s Nicola Sturgeon, and Jean-Claude Juncker, president of the European Commission. Sweden’s prime minister Stefan Lofven has no biological children.
The prime minister of Luxembourg is also childless. I mention him not to cherry pick, but because it means that of the six founding members of what evolved into the European Union, five are now led by childless prime ministers or presidents. As George Weigel says, this would have been unimaginable to one of the founders of modern “Europe,” Konrad Adenauer, who was the father of eight.
It’s also unimaginable in the U.S., at least for the time being. President Trump has five kids. There hasn’t been a childless American president in my lifetime. Some people can’t have children. Others choose not to, a decision I fully respect.
Still, there’s something eerie about the fact that Europe has no many childless leaders, even if you don’t agree with McPherson that those who lead nations should have skin, in the form of descendants, in the game. It seems extremely unlikely that a Europe that valued children highly would elect childless leaders in country after country.

I’m not real impressed with this observation. What would be more meaningful to me, is to know their religious beliefs.

This article highlights the European quandary of low birthrates among the native population and that along with the huge influx of Muslim immigrants/invaders, who have high birthrates, could very well spell the end for Western civilization in Europe.
Europe will never recover from the catastrophic ,irreplaceable, genetic loss of its best stock between 1914-1945. What remained has been further decimated by modern birth control and widespread abortion. The neo pagan Europeans have adopted feminism which at its core is an epicurean, anti fertility cult. They have become decadent and hedonistic. They no longer have the will or the moral certainty to celebrate their heritage and culture. They have no ability to resist and are being overwhelmed by unchecked migrations into their still intact infrastructure. The future belongs to the fertile. These Western Europeans are passe. No young American should ever die again on their behalf.
We’re seeing what happens when an entire continent’s ruling class has no biological stake in it’s future.
I just finished reading The Strange Death of Europe by Douglas Murray. It’s a must read for anyone seeking to understand what is happening there.
They certainly not practicing a religious system where the Lord’s first command was to be fruitful and multiply.
My personal anecdote on childless couples over the past few years: I hope those childless won't take overmuch offense, but life experience can make one selfish or unselfish, and one thing that will create in you a spirit of "denial of self" is raising children. Childless couples can be fun companions, but are, generally speaking, selfish. But, on the other hand, childish couples who are free from the maddening stresses of children are more often devoted to their spouses than couples with children.

It should be law that senators and representatives also have no children and be single so that we’re never burdened again with the self made political dynasty handed down to their children or passed to their wives in sympathy when they die.

Excellent observations. The human race has been periodically decimated by catastrophes - wars, plagues, volcanoes, earthquakes, fires and flooding. During this modern age, with science, we have controlled many diseases and with communication we have instant warnings of potential catastrophes.
We are still unable it seems to control terrorism, gender dystopia, abortion or regional & religion-based violence.
If you research world statistics for mass extinctions and human population predictions it is really astounding. (And scary for those of us who sense some type of Armageddon)
Why is anyone surprised when queers and lesbians don’t have children?
If you have no kids you don’t give a crap about what happens to the next generation.
