(CNSNews.com) -- A judge at London's High Court ruled against the hospital and in favor of the parents of baby Charlie Gard--who is suffering from a rare genetic disorder--that they may present new scientific evidence concerning their son's treatment, which will be reviewed this Thursday and could possibly lead to Charlie receiving treatment in the United States. But the outcome is still uncertain and Charlie's fate is precarious.
Charlie Gard is 10 months old. He lives on life support in the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. His genetic disorder is destructive to muscles and organs, and most people who have the problem die in infancy. The baby's parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates, want their son to undergo an experimental treatment, which has been helpful in some cases. An online campaign has raised more than $1.5 million for the baby's treament.
Under the health care laws in Britain, however, the parents are not allowed to pursue this option. The hospital contends Charlie is brain-damaged and beyond medical hope, and the hospital wants to shut off his life support. This denial of the parent's desire to seek treatment for their son elsewhere led to several court rulings -- in favor of the hospital. On Monday, July 10, the judge who previously ruled against the Gards agreed to review whatever new evience they can present to him for a reevaluation.

Wonderful! Let’s pray for the best!
Prayers up.
It’s a misleading headline. The judge only gave them 48 hours to come up with new evidence.
The entire idea of a judge deciding whether parents may seek medical
treatment for their child is abhorrent and a form of tyranny
which reduces individuals to simply property of the state.
Why doesn’t the US go to Charlie? I mean our guys could explain it all to these people in an hour or two right? Face to face?
The same judge who ordered Charlie’s death earlier this year.
The lawyers for the parents questioned his ability to render an impartial judgment in the courtroom today.
“They questioned whether Mr. Justice Francis was the correct person to assess the latest medical evidence, given that in April he has ruled that Charlie’s life support be withdrawn”

Don’t hold your breath.
Exactly. This is just so wrong on so many levels.
Its all going back to the courtroom Thursday with the judge wanting “evidence” and I understood he dissed President Trump for speaking up about the case in today’s hearing.
Damn this Judge sounds like an old devil with no feelings and has hatred for Trump on top of it all. This baby needs a miracle.
Because the muslim London mayor would place a travel ban against non-terrorist Americans?
But seriously, your suggestion is great. It will probably boil down to a teleconference that includes the American doctors. Will it be enough? It all depends on how open minded the judge will be.
They’re gonna drag this out through the bureaucracy and the court system until this poor kid is dead. Then the parents will get a collective shoulder shrug and an “Oopsie” from the lot of them. I can understand why insurrections start and/or people go rogue with a deer rifle.
Trump should declare the kid an American Citizen and send in a Seal Team to extract him and his parents.
The British bastards are no better than the Nazis their grandparents fought. England is now a totalitarian state where they will order children to their deaths but if this child were, instead, a Muslim Terrorist on life support following a suicide bombing, they would pull out all the stops to keep him alive.
I don’t have to tell the English they can go to Hell. They are already there.
Link not working.
People across the world now know the name of this High Brow Judge.
Especially citizens of the U.K.
If he rules against Charlie again, he will endure hell on earth for the rest
of his life.
If this goes badly for Charlie, I hope his parents start naming names
of those involved. I am sure millions of British citizens would like to know
who pulled the plug on Charlie, in addition to this High Brow Justice Francis.
Excellent...
Feelin’ the heat. But why does it take worldwide pressure to allow parents to make decisions for their own child?
Excellent news!
Prayers offered up.
Wouldn’t matter. American doctors would not be legally allowed to treat Charlie without government permission and would be thrown in jail if they tried. And as you can see, the government is uninterested in allowing American doctors administer such a treatment, even given that the patient will die without it.
I don’t understand how the UK can hold a child hostage in a hospital against the parents’ will.
