Last I looked, the Republicans held majorities in both chambers of Congress.
Any obstruction that is occurring is the result of Republican complicity.
New political party is not going to work but something does need to be done. Perhaps an amendment to the constitution that allows states to recall their senators and congresmen?

I am very frustrated with him. Couldn’t he just start the process to change the votes needed to 51%?
With him and Ryan (and maybe McCarthy, I don’t know a lot about him), don’t you get the feeling it’s all just an act, pretending to be “working” for us but all the while laughing at us in private?
Not work? That’s what the Whigs said when the Republican Party was created in the eighteen fifties. I have said before, if nothing is done to forward the Trump policy he should make an announcement that he will have an important speech to the American public in October. He declares the founding of a new political party that will meet at convention in x place in March. Let’s call it the American Party, and it announces that it will contest all senate and house elections in 2018. This will both split the Republican Party and destroy it by the time of the next election in 2020. Times will be tough, but Trump can outlas them, and like the ineffective Whigs the feckless Republicans will disappear in to the mists of history.

Blue slips are only an opinion and only on judicial nominees. The Judiciary Committee isn't bound by what they say.

Was discussing with a friend that MC will soon be in a position that he “will be forced” to change the rules. You notice today four dims are now interested in helping with healthcare. They know what’s coming. It’s an attempt to head off rule changes. Popping corn as we type.
MC did a good job of delaying BHO nominees so Schumer is trying to pay him back. I’m betting on MC to win. Once Chuckie and company move into just the right position.
MC C delayed 80+ federal judicial appointments of BHO. No Liberal’s in those positions. 80+ for the conservatives

EXACTLY!! This is also my question. The problem is NOT Democrats as much as that of REPUBLICAN leadership, or the lack of it.

Let's be blunt here. The Republicans in the House and the Senate do not respect Trump. They do not fear Trump. They do not give a damn for what Trump wants to accomplish. And that is never going to change so long as Trump and his people issue whiney crap excuses like this that blame the wrong people and let McConnell and Ryan completely off the hook. He needs to place blame where it belongs, with McConnell and Ryan and their inept leadership. He needs to start calling them out, banging heads together, and putting the fear of God in them. Otherwise Trump may as well hang it up.
