This isn’t about Legality - it’s about Optics.
The emails clearly state a desire of “The Russians” (sigh..) to help Trump.
The media is going to latch on to that like a dog on a bone, and THAT will be the story ad nauseum for weeks if not months / years.
As much as this story tweaks me off no end, it is not likely to go away. If you doubt that for a second, go read any MSM article posted today or turn on any coverage. It’s only going to get worse.
...It’s only going to get worse...This is actually good. Another nothing-burger. Over and over again, nothing comes of it. At some point, the media become the boy who cried wolf too often. They are reaching and passing that point every day with more and more Americans. They are, in effect, inoculating Trump against any real scandal should they ever uncover it.
