The Army did good to get rid of this agendanista while he was still only an LTC. He would have been a disaster at a higher rank and could have done considerable damage. Fox is mostly dead to me now since they employ so many embittered Never-Trumpers such as Peters. Fox Business Channel is far superior now.

Peters is deranged when it comes to Putin and Russia. I’ve seen him actually shaking with rage over any suggestion that Putin may be anything but evil incarnate, or any criticism of anyone in the “intelligence community” that were/are undermining Trump. I hope he stays far, far away from any position of power.

Not defending his Hillary vote, but from the late 70s Peters has immersed himself in all things Russian. First as Army Intel in West Germany, then as a novelist and then as an analyst. He understands that Putin is evil and likely insane. Romney grasped this 4 years ago. Barky mocked him for it. While I respect Peters’ view of Russia, I trust Mattis and McMaster to move Pres. Trump in the right direction

There’s a reason that Peters is a retired LTC, not a full COL or a general of some rank (my dad was an Army lifer, an E-8, and senior non-coms knew which officers were sound and which were not). I suspect he let his mouth hinder his career, meaning the connection b/w his brain and is mouth is too short and full of static.
Peters is not a military expert. He has studies history and has his perspective on history and military, but he is hardly an expert. I turn him off whenever he comes on. Even before his Trump hatred began to show he made many questionable statements about the military and ongoing “wars”. Stuart Varney seems to love him, but he is just a Lt Col who has done some studying/writing and has let his perspective be controlled by his biases — that does not make him an expert.
The money trail for hatred of Russia runs through Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Arabs along with Israel and the defense industry here in the USA that does business with above mentioned anti-Iranian countries with interests in the Syrian Civil War opposing Assad and his allies Iran and Russia.
His $$$$$$ nowadays must come from one or more of the above mentioned sources.
