IMO, if a guy tries to kill someone, They should be treated as if THEY DID, even if the person lived. Their intent was to kill. That’s all I care to know when it’s during the commission of a crime.
You shoot someone as an act of defending yourself, this does not apply. You try to kill, you are not responsible even if you do, and definitely not if you don’t kill them.
It’s not legal to shoot Congressmen, but the Left thinks another “GOOD LAW” (as if) will stop these sorts of things.
