Fitton: Special Counsel Investigation ‘Should Be Called Off Because of What Comey Did’
Breitbart ^ | July 12 2017 | DAN RIEHL

Posted on 07/13/2017 11:26:44 AM PDT by Whenifhow

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Wednesday to discuss allegations that memos from former FBI Director James Comey contained classified information. He also discussed Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s links to Russia.

Said Fitton of the Comey memos, “he ought to be under legal investigation because of this. You’re not allowed to take government records from a government agency without permission, especially as an outgoing employee and one of the reasons someone in a sensitive position like Comey isn’t supposed to do that is because the material could be sensitive, or classified. And evidently, it was.”

“There are all sorts of potential crimes Mr. Comey committed, for which he needs to be seriously investigated,” he added.

Pointing out that special counsel Robert Mueller and Comey are good friends, Fitton continued, Mueller “despite all appearance issues continues to rely on Mr. Comey as a witness and doesn’t think his friendship gets in the way of any investigation, here’s a classic example of why it would.”

Should be, but never will be since the whole “Russia” thing is a deliberate malicious sham of an investigation. It is the establishment’s way of trying to control Trump and, if possible, remove him from office. Pence is part of the establishment and would go along to get along, just like his former colleagues in Congress do all the time.

Does anyone remember when the Dems were howling that Comey was interfering in the election?

The left demonstrates the frog in a frying pan syndrome.

Whatever they’ve ever been able to get over, dismiss or otherwise not care about helps them to get over, dismiss, and not care about stuff only that bad or maybe a bit worse.

All of that becomes old news, stuff that didn’t matter and therefore shouldn’t matter, and we’re nasty muckraking partisans for bringing it up again.

Meanwhile the callouses on their souls grow thicker, enabling them to get over even worse.

(Aside: for some years I had been observing that the Obama Administration gave every appearance that they were managing scandal with scandal, and that the steady stream of provided material basically insured that if anything major came up that their minions would be too conditioned to circle the wagons to not circle the wagons)

In short: to disabuse a leftist something has to be unprecedentedly horrific and bad compared to what they’d been able to already dismiss. Not good odds.

It is not in error to say that for many there is little to no sense that there could ever be a long train of abuses, to borrow language from the DoI, which could ever make some of these people ever turn against Democrats.

Convention wisdom says the president needs to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. There are older laws of course with no such prohibitions, but this is where we are.

It appears to me that Comey and Mueller are up to their necks in something which does not pass the sniff test. They should be thoroughly investigated and the investigation into the Russian interference should be turned over to someone not noted for zealous and wrong-headed prosecutions which are a stain on the national reputation.

To add to the conflicts of interest and crossed purposes, we also now know that Preet Bharara’s Southern District of New York office of the DOJ is heavily comprimised by the sudden emergence of Natalia Veselnitskaya who has a very suspicious and conflicted relationship with Preet’s Southern District of New York office, and who is also connected to both the DNC opposition research firm of Fusion GPS as well as Russian Oligarchs and possibly the Russian Mafia .

This puts Special Prosecutor Muellers hiring of Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Goldstein of the Southern District of New York, one of Preet’s closest deputies, under a dark cloud that will also force his recusal because the actions of Preet’s Manhattan Office have just become part of the Mueller Russia investigation.

At the very least Mueller's hiring of Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Goldstein will put Goldstein in painful position of being a witness to his own investigation and Goldstein may even become a potential target of the Russia investigation if it turns out that Preet was conspiring or colluding with , Fusion GPS, Obama’s Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul and shady Azerbejani money laundering Oligarchs to entrap the Trump Campaign or compromise Donald Trump's Presidency by manufacturing a false investigation and illegal spying and unmasking against Donald Trump.

And it really beginning to look like that might be the case

So Mueller has assembled the most highly biased and Ethics Conflicted team of Special Prosecutors in the history of American justice

Mueller is close friend and co worker of James Comey, who's friend, witness and who is now becoming a potential target of the investigation, Goldstein has his conflicts with with the emerging Natalia Veselnitskaya affair which looks real suspicious and next we have Jeannie Rhee, who is a hyper partisan Clinton supporter who was Senior DOJ Adviser to both Attorney General Eric Holder and President Obama and who represented The Clinton Foundation a 2015 racketeering lawsuit.

Everyone of these people would never be allowed to work on this case in the real world because they could not survive the conflict of interest due diligence every layer goes through to vet them on legal case.

Should be called off, period. It has no basis, is a waste of time and money.

I agree with your Assessment. Would like to go back a little further to see if we can avoid this entire matter. Comey never did an investigation into Hillary. Where are the files? He then violated FBI principals by discussing ongoing investigation in public. Then he overstepped his authority and gave Hillary a free pass. Never told anyone he gave numerous immunity deals at the time. Lynch is guilty of letting Comey make that decision. It was not Comey’s to make. thus he committed a crime. He then threw lynch under the bus and tried to overthrow Trump. Trump canned the RAT. Comey admitted leaking classified material to obtain a special prosecutor.

How much more does it take to charge this cretin. Fire Mueller on the spot. He is gathering persons to take out Trump at the Taxpayers expense. I doubt he has done anything yet except hire Dem lawyers. The discussion between Comey and Mueller is plenty to charge them with conspiracy. Do it now DJT.
