GREAT POST!!!! (and I wanted to go back to bed)

For example, should we really be defending “freedom of the press,” when doing so merely protects the lying, anti-Christian, anti-American MSM?

You’ll anger some people here if you press that, at least I did when I wanted their exemption against lawsuits removed. They are now, indisputably, a POLITICAL ENTITY - they’ve chosen to leave their First Amendment protections, and they need to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Should we continue to operate as if the Democrat Party is still loyal to America, when it clearly is not?

The first step there is convincing elected Republicans of what you’re saying...not to mention convincing the country of the same. There is a natural default position that if a person has a blue passport, then they must love the country. The media PROTECTS those people by suppressing obvious evidence that they, in fact, hate America...so we have to work hard to get around that layer of protection...but most people cannot do that, or will not. So you tell them that the left hates America and all they see is the ‘loyal opposition’ who just happens to disagree with them on a few issues...it’s a big challenge, but we must fight it.

“Should we just pretend that we don’t notice that public schools and secular colleges have become indoctrination farms for the anti-American left?”
Again, the default position is that the public schools are simply ‘doing their best’, given the ‘limited resources’ that they’re always whining about. Never mind that private schools do much better with half the per-student cost. I’ve lost more friends trying to tell them what our public schools have become. They know me, my family, and my kids, and great they’ve done by NEVER having stepped a foot in a public school. Their response: “That’s great BobL, but our kids aren’t Einsteins, so we’ll trust ‘the experts’ to raise them (the teachers).”, with implication that our kids would have been just fine if they were simply left to ‘the system’, which is totally wrong, at least in our case. Sadly I’ve given up - even some FReepers attack me when I tell them they should consider living in a small apartment or crappy area, so that they can properly raise and educate their kids (i.e., no public schools) - they seem PERFECTLY HAPPY to roll the dice with a bunch of math-hating, and often traditional family-hating activists raising their kids, as long as they have that nice house, and nice truck.

“Pinochet” The Left still seethes when they hear that name. Chile had two options back then: Become like Reagan’s America, or become like Cuba. Pinochet saved them...and made sure that they were safe for decades by putting systems in place that led to their prosperity. I dream of the day we can do the same - which is to finally rid ourselves or Leftists as a viable political force. I don’t mind Libertarians as an opposition - while I don’t agree with them, they don’t actually DESPISE this country as Leftists do...I think that’s where our political debate needs to move to - Libertarians versus Republicans. The Left needs to be ended as a political force, at least until they can show some actual loyalty to at least our Constitution...which will probably be never.

Yet another article proving that what leftists accuse others of is the exactly what they do. In this case they report an "alternate reality" which is different way of saying "fake news".

They are delusional if they truly aren't aware of what they are doing, or deceitful if they are.

Look to the right now and you’re apt to find an alternative reality in which the same set of facts is rearranged to compose an entirely different narrative.

In other words, the Left-wing media has lost their monopoly on the news. Hurray!

Collusion is what Hillary and the DNC did against Bernie. That should be the new mantra.

The NYT does not mention that they have been caught lying. What about 17 Intel agencied? And they are lying for the DNC.

The bias is very visible, deceitful and destructive and people are sick of it.

Collusion infers Crime.

Like when the DNC and Hillary's campaign are coordinating to direct media outlets as what exactly to publish in the upcoming news cycle, and the media outlets doing exactly as requested by the DNC - and then not bothering to file FEC paperwork for their in kind campaign contributions.

It is really dark what they are doing, absolutely dark...

“Point well taken. The American people are coming to realize that a nationalist Russia emerging from nearly ninety years of soul crushing debilitating communism that values its culture and heritage has more in common with an america with similar values than the one world/no borders free migration globalists that dominate the EU, the State Department and UN bureaucracy. The globalists view a nationalist Russia and America as the greatest threats to their schemes”.

True dat!

Uhm, let’s see. Which news operation is laying off employees because they’re broke. Is it Fox news , . . . or the New York Times?

NYT broke? But I thought that they were soaking in a few hundreds of millions from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helú? (I can see why the NYT might be against Mexico paying for a wall, they need that money to keep publishing..)

This is a typical insulting editorial from elite liberal media with disparaging, simplistic lines such as: “If you’re not a Republican, watching Republicans react to the news can feel a bit like witnessing a mass hallucination.” We’re not having hallucinations; we just have a different point of view about this kind of news.

Here’s some reaction to this news from a Republican and staunch Trump supporter in a solid-red state in the West, which may surprise the liberals in elite eastern media:
Firstly, all political campaigns are continuously collecting information on their opponents and monitoring statements and actions by opponents. Campaign managers have to know everything they can know about their opponents, not just so they can use information against their opponents but also to know the characteristics and behavior of their opponents, so that they know the kind of behavior to expect from their opponents during the campaign. Campaign managers also need to know about negative information about opponents that’s out there in the world and may be released by someone later in the campaign. This kind of knowledge enables them to prepare for the release of this information, so that they know how to react if a negative story is released about their opponents. It gives them time to determine in advance if the story is true or false and whether they should comment on a negative story. Trump’s campaign was simply gathering intelligence about his opponent, just as his opponent’s campaign was constantly gathering intelligence about Trump throughout the entire campaign.

Secondly, it doesn’t really matter much if a campaign official meets with someone from a foreign country or with an American citizen, because of course the American could be working for people in another country. Washington is crawling with foreign agents and Americans who are influenced by foreign agents. There’s no way to know who is working for whom and what their motives are. Campaign staffs just go out and gather all the information they can from everyone and then evaluate that information for credibility later. It’s ridiculously naive to think that Democrat campaign staffers don’t also collect all the information they can get from everyone.

Breitbart news isn’t in a alternative universe. They simply have a different point of view and a different perspective and background than people have in elite eastern media. From my point of view and given my background in business, I view people in elite eastern media as hopelessly lacking in useful knowledge about business, finance, economics, science, national security, and several other subjects. The continued irrational support by elite media people for US participation in the Paris Climate agreement is a classic example of how elite medial people know almost nothing about business, economics, and science and have no interest in educating themselves on these subjects. Anyone who has a strong understanding of these subjects couldn’t possibly support US participation in the Paris agreement, which would have been disastrous for the American economy while having no significant impact on climate.

So I couldn’t care less if the Trump campaign had a meeting with a Russian lawyer during their routine gathering of intelligence about their opponent. I’m not suffering from any hallucinations. I just view this incident as totally insignificant, and I strongly support Trump so that we can continue to put strong conservative judges on the Supreme Court and into the federal court system, and so that we can continue rebuilding our economy and begin to reduce America’s national debt to GDP ratio. Trump’s predecessor was an unmitigated economic disaster, and we now have a chance to repair the damage inflicted on America by the previous administration, which was viewed as completely unqualified to run our government by most people in the business world.

Trump and his administration are going to do a great job at rebuilding our economy, and he will be reelected in an even bigger electoral landslide against any democrat opponent in 2020.

This is the same kind of disconnect that exists with the globalist climate warming clan. Who in the world knows how to sort through the facts and derive an opinion on so important a matter? Doing so uncovers enough that the only opinion can be skepticism. Regardless, they demand faith in their agenda instead. It is the same thing with a lot of the "science" regarding origins, and that for many decades now.

Jonah Goldberg has turned into a phony on the Trump-Russia Big Lie.

Goldberg had the chutzpah to say this: “James Baker would be a windmill of fists” if the Russians ever approached him.

I think that is a load of bullshit.

How about James Carville....would he turn it down.

How about Lee Atwater...would he turn it down.

How about David Axelrod, who got more divorce decrees ripped open for Obama and destroyed more lives for politics that ten thousand KGB agents, would he have turned it down?

How about Ted Kennedy, inviting the Soviets in to the US election in 1984? Would he have turned them down? Obviously not.

And of course Hillary, the Ukraine, and then the Podesta, DNC emails that showed horrible deceit to win elections. Frankly, CNN lied for Hillary, they are worse than Trump. They are guilty of the same sins of which they accuse Trump.

This is not “whataboutism”, this is about ignoring “continents of information” that destroy your thesis. There is no proportion.

Had Trump taken $500K for a speech and then sought to sell our uranium industry to our worst enemy, I think Goldberg would have rendered his garments on live TV. Please, all readers, do that exercise in your mind...if Trump had sold our uranium industry for $145MM in commissions what would CNN be saying with that history? These leftist liars would be bleeding from every orifice.

In his hatred for anything Trump, Goldberg now creates a fantasy world of superior moralistic beings who have always run our politics, and that now we have descended into a very terrible place with Donald Trump. He is horrified that no one in the history of politics ever did something this low and terrible, like take a meeting with some bullshit lawyer who has a dossier from Russia on their political opponent. (Wait, didn’t the FBI, the DNC and the MSM do this exact thing with Piss-Gate? Didn’t John McCain send a lackey over to Europe to pick it up?) That is his argument and it doesn’t jive with anything in our history. Like a good propagandist he leaves out continents of information. He, like the left, ignore so many blatant potholes in their logic, that you could lose marching armies in them. Which is why the DNC-Media Big Lie of Russia Russia Russia is not working. The Internet, for all its faults, does have immense fact checking power, and the awesome size of its oceanic currents quickly wears down these mounds of bullshit. The people do have the library of congress at their fingertips and they can find the “continents of information” that Goldberg, Kristol and their ilk deliberately leave out.

They have no sense of proportion. In the face of hard evidence of the DNC lying with CNN on behalf of Hillary Clinton and actually subverting democracy, they caterwaul for weeks on this nonsense Russian meeting of oppo-research, when every single campaign in the histories of campaigns would have taken it. Please stop the bullshit, and the pearl clutching and the fainting couch routine on Bret Baier’s show. No one is buying it. Goldberg, you hate Trump and you are becoming a useful idiot for the leftwing DNC.

It was always the refreshing right that gave the full story while the MSM left out “continents of information” in order to sell a narrative. (Think of how Obama-Care was sold, anything missing?) Now National Review is joining the leftwing legions of Agit-Propiteers, and trying to outdo them. National Review has not done itself any favors by garbage reporting and is losing readers.

It’s not that I don’t care, but prove to me that:

a) They did it.

b) That Trump worked with Russia to hack the DNC & Podesta.

As far as Don Jr., knowing what we know now, obviously taking the meeting was stupid, but at that time, all he was thinking was he was going to get oppo research. I don’t care what lies Hillary’s people tell, they would taken the dirt on Trump from anyone who had it.
