Mitch McConnell Just Lit The “Ugly” Fuse…
The Last Refuge ^ | July 18, 2017 | sundance

It would appear Mitch McConnell, and the larger congress, just lit the fuse on “the big ugly“. Winter is coming • President Trump has requested all Republican Senators to attend a White House luncheon, held entirely in their honor, tomorrow. • President Trump has also announced a MAGA rally to be held in Youngstown Ohio, next week. • Not coincidentally this rally announcement comes on the same day Ohio governor John Kasich writes an op-ed in the New York Times gleefully celebrating the defeat of the senate healthcare reform and ObamaCare repeal. • HHS Secretary Tom Price is NOT HAPPY. Oh yeah, the Big Ugly is coming. President Trump is not a politician.

Plan A was Trump being Mr. Nice Guy with the RINOs in Congress. That didn't work.

I'm looking forward to hard ball Plan B.

This should be interesting, though the damned RINOS are going to “leak” like sieves and make it all sound dreadful.

Many republicans are lying liberals.

No need to damage your own ship. Trump should just immediately cancel the waivers that protected congress and senate staffers and judges from obamacare. Put the entire federal beast on obamacare.

It’s an ugly situation. Repealing Obamacare would be like taking candy from a baby. Not that it would be easy - but whoever does it is going to be tarred as a heartless monster by the Dems and their compliant press and even some of the Repubs. Trump works well with his back against the wall (having gone through several bankruptcies.) I hope he has a plan and it doesn’t include playing nice with any Dems or the GOPe. He’s already tried the nice-guy approach, now it’s time to hoist the black flag and start slitting throats.

“Winter is coming • President Trump has requested all STARKS to attend a White House luncheon, held entirely in their honor, tomorrow.”

More like it, except the Starks were good guys....

Cruz was talking about some kind of dual plan that would let those stay on Obamacare if they want that, and let everyone else go buy whatever plan they wanted.

What he should do and probably should have done it before now, is to post every single name of every single GOPer who votes YAY, on those 60 previous "REPEAL" Bills and give 'em something to really worry about.

If it weren't for Collins and that POS John Roberts, ObamaCare would NEVER have 1) hit the floor to be voted on 2) been cut in the bud as it should have been and Roberts fell down on this not once, but TWICE!

I also like making ALL of Congress and ALL of the staff and ALL of the people in government departments be on ObamaCare and NOTHING else!

Then just WHO would pay for it?

No more bail outs for insurance companies and NO more fed funding to the greedy states for Medicaid! And do away with ALL of the damned TAXES that fund ObamaCare too!

Time to pull the committee assignments of those that don’t go along.

That’s the perfect solution. Let people make their own choices and encourage competition between the insurers. The free market, in other words. I wonder how Obamacare would stand up if it were not compulsory!

Be fun to watch that plan go bankrupt at Warp 6. I don't think there's a good way out of this mess. Might just be best for Trump to leave it as Obamacare and get together with the Repubs that are willing to work with him and come up with a plan to keep as much of the stink off of them as they can.

Why is the option of cancelling obamacare waivers for congress and senate never even mentioned? I am not a smart person and it’s pretty darned obvious that it has to happen.
