This just proves how desperate Mueller is at this point. They are going back decades in business dealings. They have zero evidence.
Give the swamp enough rope and they will surely hang Trump. On 1/20/17 who would have believed we’d be at this point in six months. Trump has perhaps waited to long to stop this farce and to unleash a whirlwind of investigators upon the Uniparty/Clinton/Obama axis. Now it’s going to take what will be sold as a “Saturday Night Massacre “ to right the the ship. Trump has no wiggle room left on the timing. Get rid of Sessions, appoint a loyal blood and guts AG during the recess and prepare for total commitment.

Even that is an unwarranted and forbidden expansion of scope of jurisdiction. Mueller is tasked with investigating the election campaign, and that campaign started in the middle of 2015.
What Mueller is essentially doing, if reports of his scope are correct, is basically say he is allowed to investigate anything on everybody who was in the campaign, using the fact of being in the campaign as "relationship," and discarding the restriction of "related to the campaign" in a time-limited and activity-limited view.
IOW, Mueller appears to be taking the position that anything Trump did in the past 10 years is to be looked at (is related to the the campaign), because Trump participated in the campaign.
