I will not buy a new car because of the insidious property tax. Why pay an extra $500 a year just to own a new car?
$500 is cheaper than the property tax I owe on the 3 year old Mini Van that I bought a couple of months ago.

Just be glad you don’t have to pay an additional annual carbon tax on your car like they do in most of Europe.
